i noticed a few things with the new update. the keychain is on top of one of the bags, and the default bag no longer shows up. i'm also using bartender now and the tooltips for spells wont show up, any idea why?
EDIT: well it seems like the keychain and bags fixed themselves, but i'm still not getting any tooltips, even with macaroon. also my friend just downloaded it and there seems to be something blocking a bar on the bottom of his screen.

You got the backwards L shaped ui option to hide the Microbar (at the same time)
and bag.And a name tag that says Grim UI. Do you feel to make it like the option Bartender 4 got it. One bag option, just showing 1 bag and when you press it all bags opens. I tried but i cant get a ui that can cominates with your ui, for that kind of option. Eather the bags are lockt and iŽam not able to touch them or the game frezz or crash. And of course a switch back and forth from 4 to 1 bag if you want to change bags, But i guess i donŽt need to tell you, just trying to looking smart.

Delete the Interface/AddOns/ directory. Do NOT delete the WTF/ directory. Copy the new GrimUI file into the Interface/ directory. This of course can have some variables to it. Like say you have addons installed not part of the the GrimUI do not want to delete those. Or if your updating all you need is the !GrimUI directory from the package. Also if i post that a certain version needs a fresh install im talking primarily about the !GrimUI.wtf file's. There is one in the main SavedVariables folder and one in each of the character specific directory's. The one in the main directory can always stay there. It holds database info which you will most likely never want to delete. The ones in the char specific folders though hold layout info and other things, that should you have problems with updates would be the one to delete. The !GrimUI.wtf is the one you want to delete if i have posted that the UI requires a fresh install. The reason is that if i add or change layout or options saved vars the layout of that saved var file changes so it should be deleted to make way for the new layout. |

Need help with new update
1a. Recent Release: I have not installed the new version released in January (if I am reading it right). Your notes state: "Version 3.2.5 REQUIRES A FRESH INSTALL! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COPY OVER OLDER VERSIONS!! " There are no notes on update 3.3 - how do I proceed to update?
1b. When updating will I lose my set up of casting bars, autobar, 3D renderings, etc? It took me hours and hours to set up, and I'd like to avoid that ![]() 2. I am still looking to find where there are buttons for the mini-map so that I can use the features such to find such things as low level quests.

What i ment to say is... duf and zmob will be able to control your partyframes BUT i will no longer be supporting them. IE they will not come in the package! you can use those or any other addon you chose to control your party frames and add the 3d models to partyframes if you so chose. This is temporary of course since all of that will be a part of the GrimUI core eventually...
Another note for people with small screens. my plan for you folks to make party frames fit in the space allotted on small screens is to remove the 3d models from party frames! so only wide screen resolutions will see 3d party models in the end. Your other option is you convince someone to help me full time with this and we rewrite everything so that rather then adjust only one frame on resolution changes the entire interface scales on resolution changes. Its a lot of work to an overloaded work load as it is. Personally i think not having 3d models on party frames in small resolutions is best but... |

the other bars also do not setup. right now just the artwork is set to setup for any resolution and the chatframes should also setup right although they do sometimes and dont others. The next version ill be releasing soon will no longer have DUF or ZmobDB. and should setup at lest the playerframe by itself. So ya for now you have to move a lot of those frames around using the addons that are controlling them. you can type /dtframestack and cursor over any frame and get at lest an idea as to what is controlling it. BTW side note for everyone... the next version a lot of nifty graphical things will be missing. The 3d chars will be in place but will not have all the cool animations yet. Partyframes and party3d chars will most likely still be controled by duf and zmobdb for awhile longer. im focusing on the target frame and player/pet frames first. |
