Re: Re: Re: Error message hovering over icons for money
I then decided I would delete the saved variables add on by add on as I re-enabled them to see what cured it. Deleted the GrimUI variables first and restarted the game... for some reason this fixed it when GrimUI recreated the variables file. Lua error had gone, put all other add ons back and it still works a treat, don't know what the problem was but this cured it. Thanks again for a fine UI, I couldn't play WoW without it now. |

Re: Re: Error message hovering over icons for money
Disabled all add-ons one by one till all I had left were blizz adds and GrimUi but it still happened so put it all back and went the saved variables route, this got rid of the problem totally which was a result but obviously by it's very nature reset everything I use to it's "out of the box" settings. With all of my chars button settings in the Razer addons plus all the other stuff I had set, sorting it back to how I had it might be a bit of a mountain to climb. Since I worked on a copy of the install I still have my main install that I can use so it might be a case of trying to get everything sorted in the copy while keeping the main install for playing then copying the sorted out version over my play copy when it's ready. 4.2 is coming soon and the huge upgrades usually bring odd problems with add ons etc so it might be worth running with the Lua error problem till after that. Anyway thanks for you help and input, this is still the best ui addon pack there is for WoW. George |

Re: Problem with Customizing Grim Ui
as far as moving your buffs as in ones on you from the upper right corner to somewhere else i recommend ElkBuffBars. Also you can add any frame to the grimui frame mover system and move it. Because of the secure handler stuff added to buffs though moving them may cause taint errors. |

Re: Error message hovering over icons for money
what i would do is go through and remove one addon at a time until the error no longer happens then let me know which addon it is and i might be able to help more. Start with addons that deal with your inventory and gold. High probability that one of the addons on your list globaled the word "amount" so when GrimUI goes to find the info for amount it finds that global instead and its not the right format for what the math in my code wants. This is just a guess though if you figure out what addon i might be ablee to help more. It also may have to do with your saved variables. You could try to dump those and see if it goes away. make sure to back them up first |

the floating eye? You neeed to move the frame not the icon and you may need to add it to the GrimUI Frame mover system. use frame stack to get proper capitalization of the name and added it t the frame mover system then use ctrl click to move.

I feel really stupid for not knowing, but how can I get a unit frame for my target's cast bar?
