EventEquip is a lightweight addon which hopes to further narrow the gap between the new in-game Equipment Manager and its inspirational addons like ItemRack or Outfitter. It does this by allowing you to assign gear sets to certain in-game events.

There is also support implemented for saving whatever you were previously wearing. For example, when entering town, you can have it auto-equip your about town clothes (fancy dress, etc). Upon leaving town, whatever you were wearing previously will be restored. This previously saved gear will persist between sessions/reloads. It attempts to be smart, too. Take this example:

- wearing normal gear
- enter town, save normal gear, equip town set
- enter a bg, equip pvp set
- leave bg, you are back in town, equip town set again when no longer pvp flagged
- leave town, equip whatever normal gear you were wearing before

Currently supported events:
- primary and secondary talent specs
- In-town
- Mounted (only equips outside of town)
- PvP flagged
- stances/forms/presences for warriors, druids, and DKs

Future supported events:
- Stance/Form/etc. <-- added in v.0.4
- others?...

Other future features:
- tooltips for Equipment Manager window to display set names, items in the set, assigned event, and keybinding (from default UI) <-- added in v.0.3
- possible LDB display for manual set choosing

FAQ:

How do I get started?
1. In Interface Options, under Features, select to use the Equipment Manager
2. Open your character window and click the new Gear Manager icon in the upper right
3. Create and save a gear set
4. Click the EventEquip icon at the top-left of the Equipment Manager window
5. Pick an event, then a set to go with it. Click Save.

Can I use your code?
All use of my code and textures separate from their addons must be for your own personal use and may not be redistributed separate from the addon. You may use snippets of my code in addons you intend to distribute only after receiving permission, and credit must be given.

Can I redistribute your addons?
My addons may only be redistributed in UI compilations, and any mention of the addon must point to its download page or my portal, both on wowinterface.

How can I give feedback?
Feel free to leave your comments/questions on the addon's download page, but all bug reports and feature requests need to go to my portal if you want me to remember to do them.

For instance I have one outfit in outfitter set to swap during IsFalling(). It's the naked outfit. Trying to reduce chance at durability when if I accidentaly dismount in the air or something. An open script or macro editor for the outfits would serve to meet anyone and everyone's needs. Then a person could simply do [stance:1] etc... macro conditionals.

Now if only that could also appear as a custom combuctor set all would be well with the world :P. Mind you I don't really need event swapping so perhaps a separate mod would make more sense.. The new terms are the same as the old understanding blizzard has always had with mod authors. Until carbonite went to far and got the lawyers attention.

donations and requests for such though the authors website or chosen distributitor continues to be allowed and encouraged. Nag screens, popups, and blaitent advertisements are forbidden (unless you have a contract with blizzard)

I personally don't like gear changing on its own (but I know many who do) so my event support has been awful. Dropping events on my end entirely and pointing those who want events to EventEquip would be the best of all worlds. Thanks for making this!

Pulling addons a sad over reaction in my view, but as he said its his right. EE was already on my hit list, but if its to replace Outfitter and others then my big plea to you would be to look at implementing gear swapping on stance and form changes and to allow user defined sets that all add a line to the item tool tip showing what 'set' it belongs to. The pain of swapping gear manually when my bear goes kitty for a bit has only recently been felt after major patches have messed up addon functions for a while until they catch up, but its not something to look forward too. Warriors with different gear, DKs with an off spec set, casters with high or low 'plus hit' sets / or high haste sets are only the ones that come to mind Looking at the size of Outfitters code and its complexity, I can see this sort of functionality is not trivial, but EE is looking so nice already..... Someone on the wowace forums posted a project they were doing to redo the Blizzard textures (replacing them manually). I had forgotten about them until I found it in one of Elloria's UIs. Might be close to another beta release for those if I get to work on it tonight at all. I've been thinking about the LDB feed thing. Originally, when I first thought up the addon, I was thinking that there are already a couple LDB addons for switching sets in the Broker category. For now, you can use one of those. But it might make its way into EventEquip. I was also going to create tooltips for sets in the Equipment Manager window, as there are none currently.
