Main purpose of creating this UI was to create a lightweight interface that runs on my shitty PC, without losing to much utility and without looking like crap.
The name simply comes from my oUF layout. This UI is build around it.
The UI basically doesn't need a setup ingame, since version 1.9. All custom settings can be done by lua.
oUF_Asym UI is made to work for 1440x900, it works out of the box for 1680x1050 and 1920x1200, ... should work for all widescreen resolutions.
It comes with A LOT of different bartextures and fonts, see oUF_Asym fonts/texture folder and dArt folder.
There is also some nice art to play around with located in dArt/Art.
i.e.
I don't use any UI scale at all. I don't have this option checked. Or in other words this UI is basically build around an UI scale of 1.0. If you are using another resolution as 1440x900, you might have to adjust your UI scale until it fits. |

Your interface looks really good and I tried it out this evening. I have a few issues with it. I copied over your WTF and Addon folder and renamed all needed folders to the correct names. When I log in and set my resolution to 1440 X 900 everything is really big and not lined up properly. What do you have your UI Scale slider set to? Do you not use it at all? When I set it to a setting that makes my screen look similar to your screenshots then the dominoes/kgpanel button panel is off center and slightly to the right of the left chat window. Any ideas on how to fix this would be great, I would love to give this setup a shot, looks great. Thank you

I realize I should have said this somewhere on the addon info page. I'll add this, thanks for pointing it out. Regarding the chat panels... they are set up for "nobarlayout", if you choose "barlayout2" they will overlap the actionbutton pannel in the middle. Simply unlock the chat frames and resize them a little.

ok new question, what is with the health numbers in the oUF? I don't get what the numbers on the oUF frames mean.

I took another shot at this setup with 1440X900 resolution and no UI scale used but everything is still rediculously large compared to your screenshots. Something is obviously not setting up correctly for myself. Is anyone else having this issue?
I'm going to take a shot at moving things around myself to fit like the screenshots do. Hopefully everything will look properly. I'll post a before and after ss. |

I'm using this on 2 PCs, i had no issues on the second one. I deleted /wtf and /interface before I installed my UI there.
Screenshots might help. |

UI Scale
Great job on this UI. Smart and simple layout in addition to looking very clean and nice.
A suggestion that might help on the UI size issues is if you could check the UI Scale and set the slider to the point where things are looking as intended on your screen. When others want to download your UI they just have to adjust the UI scale according to their screen to make things look similar. Adding this in your next upload will make it more user friendly to get the same adjustments that you have intended for your great work. |

Mhm, I might be wrong, but simply unchecking "use UI scale" should do the trick. It shouldn't matter where the slider was before?!

My understanding of the UI scale option is that you can set a scale so that the relative size of addon objects and graphics looks the same regardless of which resolution you are running at.
http://www.wowwiki.com/UI_Scale You might be correct though, that people can do this manually afterwards by ticking the UI scale option and select the appropriate scale regardless if you made the UI with this option checked or not. It has been 8-9 UI revisions since I did not use this options.
