Kong Automatic UI Hider can fade out pieces of the user interface (Minimap, PlayerFrame, Recount, etc.) and then automatically show them again when moused-over, entering combat, or any of several other user-specified conditions are met.
Type /Kong in game to access the config GUI. Kong can automatically fade things in and out based on things like:

One thing I have noticed. The oUF_Caellian player unit frame will end up having its applicable Kong settings reset upon each new gaming session. Also, I noticed that the unit frame's settings reset after using my hearthstone.I haven't seen this happen with oUF_Caellian pet frame (that has the same Kong settings) so I do not know what is causing the reset.

Update: This was actually pretty easy to implement with the current architecture and should be in the next version.

Hello there
I have been trying to accomplish the following but have yet to succeeded. Either I'm doing something wrong or there is no current ability to do so. I want to make elements show when I perform an action that can be tracked/displayed with the game's casting bar. This is because I am using a unitframe addon that has the casting bar integrated within it (oUF_Caellian). I want to hide the player unitframe but have it appear when I enter combat or when I perform an action that is tracked by the casting bar. I mean such actions as casting a spell, using my hearthstone, fishing, crafting things through tailoring and so on. In looking at all the conditionals since Kong works with them now, I can only find one called "channeling" and that doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for because (if I'm understanding correctly) you need to specify what spell you are channeling. Is this possible with the current version of Kong? If so, how would I go about making this happen? If this is plausible but not already within Kong's ability, would you be willing to consider adding such a feature to Kong? Thanks for this addon; it is a space saver! |

Great work mate! The group feature is perfect I'm really loving this addon. Just wondering, is there an way to hide the minimap direction arrows? Because now when the minimap is hidden, the arrows are still visible.
Cheers! Nem |

However, some frames don't have names, and therefore, Kong has no way to find them when it loads. So for nameless frames, you get that error. There are other, more complicated ways of re-associating frame settings at startup, which I may try to implement in the future. |

Is there any way to make Kong list all the hideable UI elements, and maybe also hide them using slash commands (aside from mousing over and writing /kong hide)? I've got an interface where Kong doesn't seem to register some of the frames, and thus trying to hide them becomes a pretty inconvenient workaround trip, so the ability to list all the hideable elements and picking from there would be kind of nice.
And how soon do you think frame grouping (assuming that this means a system where grouped frames means mousing over one frame in a group causes the others to appear as well) and profiles will be in the AddOn? Would really like to take use of both of those things. EDIT: Also, why is it that Kong doesn't seem to be able to save the settings for some frames? Two of my AddOns (jExp and Docking Station) keep showing this error every time I set Kong to hide them. Code:
Kong Warning: Settings for this frame cannot be saved between game sessions.
