SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

Coming back and confused

Just coming back to WoW and having to update my addons is getting to be a pain, downloaded this to fix the clicking issue but just wondering if its normal that I show boxes for all the buffs even tho there is no buff there? (meaning i have 20 buff boxes open with nothing in them)

What does this error mean?

Nevermind I figured it out--

I forgot you had that really good website with all the info; a simple monitor frame with n~poisons shows my weapons


Now one question-- how come it doesn't show period? Is that due to the interactive part?

I can't see my poisons on my Rogue.

Anyone have advice on how to make a monitor frame? I'm confused as all hell LOL.

Is this "bug" by Blizzard going to get fixed and if so when? If not, why?

Clicking off buffs that is. Also you can't add the function of right clicking by doing a console command '/cancelaura BUFF_NAME'? If you can't do that, then what is stopping it?

just a couple of quick things i've been noticing in this beta version, as well as the release version.

i.) Buff names do not appear to obey the "Click Through" setting on the General tab; I have a couple of frames setup as a hud with a short list of my buffs and my targets debuffs, configured as bars along with the aura name and timers. I am unable to interact with the game world when the mouse is over the name despite having "Click Through" selected in the General tab for each of the frames in question. If I disable the display of the name in the frames then I am able to interact with the game world when the mouse is over the bars or the timers.

ii.) the "c" filter is not filtering out auras that anyone can cast; for example on most of my toons I use a "my&c" filter (in my hud buff display from the first point incidentally), but they are displaying things like "Well Fed" " and "Spirit of Sharing" etc. This happens in both the beta and release versions of SBF. I see in the filter code you qualify the castable filter with "not SBF.db.global.anyAsMine" when castableBy is set to "ANYONE", however I can find no other references to "anyAsMine" ; is this a setting that hasn't percolated up to the UI level as of yet ?!?

They will show up when you create a new frame that isn't interactive. Make sure that you check Blacklist/Whitelist and set up your filters properly.

Satrina, I noticed that with the interactive frames, that if my mouse cursor is within them, I can't use my right click to go back into free look. Is this something that you will be addressing, or is this something that will stay? Or is this what you are fixing with the buff buttons?

I am biting the bullet and doing the re-work of how SBF's buff buttons are created now (this was meant to happen in SBF 4.0.) for SBF 3.2. It'll take me a little bit to get that changeover completed and tested. When it's done, you'll get to try it out here. I am hoping to get that done for the end of this week.

From a "fresh" install (deleted the settings files in the server saved variables folder, deleted old add-on folders)...

I changed the layout of my buff-bars to Rows growing Left but did not do any sorting or filtering to my knowledge. I changed the icon spacing and timer font/size/colors.
