This addon will remove all kinds of spam before you see it!

Features: Remove Repeated-Text spam

* Filter out any text that is spammed more than once (e.g. LF1M GNOMER PST!! x500 in yell or trade)
* This works in all chat channels and will simply display the offending message once.
* NEW: MacroStop Feature: Block advertisements for trades or guilds spread over a billion lines.

Features: Gold Spam

* Gold spam filtering (you wont see it) and automatic reporting.
* Customisable level of detail and interaction with user.
* Any whispers coming from players below the user defined level will be blocked pending verification
* The low level character must correctly answer a user-defined question to proceed
* Alternatively all low level whispers can be outright refused, the user will not see any of this occur

Features: Trade Chat / General Channels

* Remove advertisements for any or all professions
* Remove spam for BG premades, account sellers
* Remove Guild recruitment advertisements in the Trade and General Channels
* Smart LFG filtering, block LFG/LFM in trade - but not if you join LFG.

Features: Add Custom Chat Filters / Additional Options

* Add whatever the annoying word of the week is, that everyone likes to spam in trade - infinite user defined filters!
* Filter out Emotes not directed at or made by you.
* Filter out dueling system messages.

Features: 'Nag' Filters and Autoreply

* Set up automated responses to common whispers
* e.g. kan i pls has 10,000 water?
* e.g. r u tank?

The ingame menu can be reached with /bas.

just wondering, not that i care....

does the person sending me a message with the level filter on get a message that they have been block?

also, any way to auto report the people from the level filter?

Yes they get the message you set on the level filter menu tab. If they are selling gold they will be reported even if the level filter stops them, otherwise they are not reported.

There was never any risk of reporting non gold spammers, however v2 gives a pop up saying who the spammer is and what rule it is that they broke.

It would be nice if the add-on provided an alarm message that is a bit more informative than the current yellow 'BAS: Xsldflsjlfsl' alert, something like "BAS: Johndoe Lvl 37 Warrior (Stormwind)", and allow the user to configure a level limit for auto-reporting (e.g. Disable auto-reporting of characters above this level: XX) and in the latter case the add-on could save the filtered text and allow the player to either report the player or submit feedback to you. Honestly, I hate gold spammers but I hate reporting innocent people even more. It seems to work because i get confirmation pop-ups to report spammers when i'm playing. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Fixed it There was some Ace library conflict with the latest release of Altoholic. I replaced the Ace libraries of both addons with the latest one I could find on Curse and all runs fine now. Last edited by Chilius : 01-28-09 at 12:01 PM.

If there's no error and it doesnt load, that sounds like an install error; check the directory, check the addon is enabled at the character screen menu, and turn on 'Load out of date addons' just in-case.

If you see spam get through please post it here so that it can be added to the next version, rather than telling me 'OMGz I SAW SUM SPAM!!!1!' which really doesnt help all that much
