A blacklist for those that are "known to make ports and other crap" would be a very nice feature.
This is a black list and opening a portal is a way to get on it. So I understand correctly, your WinterTime booted him and then your WinterTime reinvited him afterwards? That should not happen and I'll look at the code again.
Anytime a person is removed (except offline) they are added to the black list and their invite requests are denied. You are using the latest version correct? 1.73?

Also really not a fan of that full screen "glow" that occurs briefly when Blizzard "Wintergrasp announcer" calls "...15 minutes to go..." as well as at other times. Doesn't appear to be an option in WinterTime's options to turn the icky glow off.
I'll see if I can reproduce that error, I have not noticed anything like it.

Icky glow? Wintertime does not add any kind of glow to the screen at all.

Love it

I love this addon and have no problems with it at all and to be honest anyone that is trying to pvp in WG that is under 80 should DIAF on my server the alliance "never" have tenacity for this very reason. I think that every person here that is QQing about that feature is one of the nubs that does this... If I had my way I would have Blizzard change it so that no one under 80 would be aloud to use the portal in Dalaran limiting the the level of the douches to 77 lol

The issue is that the default settings are quite simply stupid beyond belief and most wow players are so ignorant that they will never change the default setting seven if they know it is possible. Most will not even know it's possible.

Default settings in any program should always be the LEAST destructive LEAST imposing LEAST problematic.

And kicking people from the WG raid based on level is completely absurd. You can't keep them out of the zone, so they count anyway. It hurts nothing at all to have them in the raid, and it might help (any level can drive).

I have recently encountered the same kind of people.

That is why the new version has it disabled by default and starts at 70 with the option to increase it to 80.

A lot of people just plug and play their mods, maybe it would be better to have them options that have to be enabled, vs needing to be disabled.

I know the person running the mod that auto kicked me kept apologizing for it, but obviously had no clue they could disable it. I know, clueless wow players.. they really due exist. /giggle

I am not totally against the auto kicking, if it was under 70 I would be all for it, as when I run wg raids, I will look at the raid list and kick that random lv 35 who's trying to go.

I know you are just trying to expand on the mod, but really, it used to be a great mod, some of these new 'features' are ruining it. Please don't be like autioneer and put so much 'extra features' into your mod that it's no longer useable.
All of these options are able to be disabled. Its not hidden or hard to find. They are simply placed in the options window. Want to allow everyone in your raid? Want to keep offline people? Then disable the options. I know some people would like to have non 80s, I know some people would like to only have 80s. I give everyone the option to choose how they would like to handle their own raid. If you do not like the way one raid leader is using his options, find a different raid. You will only be kicked from a raid if the RAID LEADER has those enabled.

I have been in a raid with 72s and had to turn away 80s because my raid was full. I have been in raids where 10 people were offline the entire match.

Personally, I would rather fill my raids with level 80s and not waste 10 slots on people offline. But that is the point of Wintertime. Everything is changeable. It is up to the raid leader to decide how he wants to use it.

I used to love this mod, and told everyone doing wg they should have it, and now the auto kick thing has ruined not only the mod, but going to wg.

Blizzard lets you go through the portal at 70+, they let you start the weekly quests at 78, yet if you try to go now before you're 80 you can't be in a group because someone's wg mod kicks you from the raid group.

Now I can understand filtering out people that are not yet 70, but considering blizzard lets you zone in through the portal at 70, its just bad to auto kick people who meet that requirement. While trying to do the weeklies on my lv 79 I couldn't stay in the raid and the raid leader didn't mind me being in the group they just were like "sorry the mod's doing it, I'd let you stay"

Yes there is vechicle scaling, but it's not like there is a limit to the number of people allowed in WG at any given time. Every lv 70+ body in WG helps your faction. Now since I can't be in the raid groups to do quests, I guess I can just sit there and wait for a lousy mark, the whole time regretting that I encouraged so many people to get this mod.
