QuestClicks generates a dynamic bar of up to 12 buttons to make your life easier. Originally, this add-on was created in response to the large number of usable quest items introduced in WoLK – the kind where the quest giver would hand you an item and tell you to go somewhere and use it. Throw parachutes to troops, thaw people out with a flamethrower, planting acorns in dead dragons, and the like.
Having to dig through bags to find these items and add them to a bar, only to have to get rid of them after the quest was completed, was a pain. I wrote QuestClicks to create temporary buttons for them to make this easier.
Over the years, the default WoW interface has adopted some of this burden, and now many items like this show up in the quest tracker on-screen. There are still some that don’t, however. In addition, there are a lot of other annoying instances where you pick up an item and need to find it to click on it – recipes, ore nuggets, herb parts, motes, toys, etc.
QuestClicks has optional categories for all of these types of items and more. If you pick up something you can learn or collect, you’ll get a button for it. Click it, learn the recipe, and the button goes away by itself.
You can even add your own items (see the GUI panel in your interface configuration window for details).
Currently, the following categories of items can be enabled to generate buttons automatically:

I have uploaded 1.25a, which should correct the bug that was preventing QuestClicks from loading if you didn't also have ButtonFacade installed.

Ok, did some checking and I don't have any idea where I got the item ID numbers for the cataclysm ores and herbs because they were WAY, WAY off
I'm putting together a new version with the corrected numbers, and a new ButtonFacade detection check to try to clear up issues if another addon includes an old version of the LBF library. Going to play WoW with this version for an hour or so and make sure I didn't break anything. After that, I'll pack it up and upload it. |

I'll check into and fix Elementium, and there are a couple of other changes I want to make, so I'll work on another quick release. |

Downloaded newest version and did a fresh install deleting all .luas and it did not recognize stacks of elementium ore for proscpecting in my bag. I added it at the configuration interface and it shows now but cannot right click it to prospect it?
Am I doing something wrong? |

Hmmm... ill check around and see what i find.
Test 1: Ripping out the "libbuttonfacade-1.0" that was in outfitter, but no change. Test 2: Loading up without Outfitter active, still no change. Test 3: Ripping the entire outfitter folder before loading up, Still no change. Kerecha: Do you use Outfitter? This has happened before when a build of Outfitter was released that included the LibButtonFacade library. Because QuestClicks (and other addons) look for that library being present to detect ButtonFacade, it's presence in Outfitter has caused that problem in the past if you don't also use ButtonFacade.
I just checked, and the current release (5.1.2) of OutFitter includes the file "LibButtonFacade-1.0.lua", which I believe it should not - the previous release (5.1.1) does not, and it is not referenced in Outfitter's .TOC file. Last time around, an update to OutFitter was released that removed the file and resolved the issue. I don't know if deleting the LibButtonFacade-1.0.lua file from the outfitter directory would fix the issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if that did the trick.

I just uploaded version 1.24, which includes the cataclysm herbs/mines (I have neither an inscriptionist nor jewelcrafter high enough skill to actually mill/prospect these, so please let me know if they don't show up/work properly).
Also, this version includes a new caching system for determining what items to display on the bar. This has, for me, pretty must completely eliminated the stutter when looting items. Xemal - I uploaded this version before I saw your comment I'll add those changes for 1.25. |
