QuestClicks generates a dynamic bar of up to 12 buttons to make your life easier. Originally, this add-on was created in response to the large number of usable quest items introduced in WoLK – the kind where the quest giver would hand you an item and tell you to go somewhere and use it. Throw parachutes to troops, thaw people out with a flamethrower, planting acorns in dead dragons, and the like.
Having to dig through bags to find these items and add them to a bar, only to have to get rid of them after the quest was completed, was a pain. I wrote QuestClicks to create temporary buttons for them to make this easier.
Over the years, the default WoW interface has adopted some of this burden, and now many items like this show up in the quest tracker on-screen. There are still some that don’t, however. In addition, there are a lot of other annoying instances where you pick up an item and need to find it to click on it – recipes, ore nuggets, herb parts, motes, toys, etc.
QuestClicks has optional categories for all of these types of items and more. If you pick up something you can learn or collect, you’ll get a button for it. Click it, learn the recipe, and the button goes away by itself.
You can even add your own items (see the GUI panel in your interface configuration window for details).
Currently, the following categories of items can be enabled to generate buttons automatically:

Thanks. I'll do some more playing with the location of the tooltip, as well as figure out how to default it.

I like where this is headed. Maybe it'll be an Autobar replacement some day. That addon is so damn bloated now. Used to be simple.

I'll also look into other tooltip placement methods. |

Is it possible to move the tooltip to the default location (like the same location that appears when hovering over a unit frame)?
Right now the tooltip shows up near the quest items and very often blocks the other buttons. Thanks! |

Getting Error
Interface/Addons/Questlicks/Questclicks.lua:215: attempt to call global 'LibStub' (a nil value)
Downloaded ButtonFacade for the heck of it and it now works...Is buttonfacade required now for questclicks to work?

Debug message left in v1.10
There is a debug message I forgot to remove from Version 1.10 if you have Milling/Prospecting and Herbs/Ore buttons. If you wish to remove the message (which will display the text of the macro created for the button any time the buttons are updated), simply comment out line 1076 in QuestClicks.lua by placing two dashes in front of it. The line looks like this:
QuestClicks_DisplayMessage(QuestClicksSubframes[ButtonNumber]:GetAttribute("macrotext*")) Just edit it to: -- QuestClicks_DisplayMessage(QuestClicksSubframes[ButtonNumber]:GetAttribute("macrotext*")) and it will disable the message. |

Version 1.10 Released
I've just uploaded version 1.10, and it adds a few fun new items:
First of all, Buttonfacade is now supported if you have that addon installed. Second, I added Milling to the "Trades" optional category. If you have 5 or more of an Herb (and you have the Milling skill, of course) that Herb will show up on the QuestClicks bar. For both Prospecting and Milling : The QuestClicks buttons created through the Trades category for Milling and Prospecting are now "live" buttons that will Prospect/Mill the item when you click on the button. It is no longer necessary to click Prospecting/Milling first and then click on the button. I recommend using StackPack to keep your stacks organized so you don't end up with partial stacks that don't respond properly to milling/prospecting. I've added a new method for storing configuration information. Your existing settings should be converted automatically the first time the addon loads, but the window may reset to the center of the screen and need to be positioned again. I have cleaned up some of the code a bit as well, including the way the buttons get created (necessary for the integration with ButtonFacade). Finally, the Tool Tip window should pop up in a more intelligent position and try to avoid covering up the buttons. Please let me know if you run into an orientation where this doesn't work properly. Coming in Version 1.11 : This version is likely to correspond with the release of patch 3.1 (well, shortly thereafter). There are some new functions dealing with quest items in 3.1 that may make it possible to, for example, hilight items when you are in range to use them, etc. I need to do some playing with them. Also in 1.11 I'll be adding an optional category for items that begin quests, as well as detecting more items that don't show up and should. |

Not sure how I never noticed this before, but when you choose to hide the anchor frame you're only making the background transparent or something. (I only know enough lua to be dangerous.) But the frame is still there and interactive as such.
er I need to rethink the fix I had posted

Version 1.09
V1.09 adds the capability for localization, including a French translation provided by Laumac. Other translations can be easily added if anyone feels like submitting the text strings (You can upload them as a "patch" to the addon and I'll integrate them)
This version also adds the Keyring as a possible source for item buttons. It defaults to off, but you can turn it on via the interface panel. The reason it defaults to off is that there is that most keys are used automatically when you click on what they unlock, and I have at least one key that shows up as a clicky button by default that is from an old Burning Crusade outdoor area. I also added Arcane Charges to the Additions list. |

Yeah lots of Keys we need to keep track of for quests...
i'm also assuming you would like missed items, here's a missing item from an Isle of Quel'Danas daily. Links to WowHead: [Arcane Charges]
