Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To
• Wowinterface.com for hosting my UI.
• Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.
• The AddOn authors that created the mods used in this UI.

Sounds like a pain. Ive just been telling our raiders to remove their DND or AFK flags while raiding.

Alright problems solved. I have the answers to both just waiting on clarification for one of them. The raid fram isnt clickable because there is another frame stacked on top of it. If you do a /framestack and mouse over the area for me at least I saw that the MBF was stacked over top of it. I went into MBF, reduced the number of columns until the window didn't cover my raid frame and VOILA! all raid frames are now clickable as normal.

For the away status message I've been told to "remove the local s=Status(unit) if s then return s end code at the top of the health text code." which I'm assuming is in one of the .lua files I'm just not sure which one. I'll edit this as soon as I get clarification though Boda.

CHALLENGE DEFEATED! FLAWLESS VICTORY!
Nice work, yeah let me know about the away flags. Thank you.

I do use http://www.wowinterface.com/download...atencyFix.html , however I think that only goes on my PC, not in my WTF.

Now I have been issued a challenge. I will find the answer lol. If nothing else I'll give it my best damn shot!

Least I can do for you saving me the trouble of configuring panels and the portraits etc.

Hey I love your UI! Very nice, clean and organized. I have it set up on all of my toons across two accounts and both my desktop and laptop. Lots of / commands to get that all done, lol. Anyway, I have an "under the hood" question. Before installing your UI, I was getting around 20fps on my desktop and 12-15 fps on my laptop. Since installing it, I get an awesome 60fps (except in Dal, which it drops to around 45-50 fps). Huge difference! It even boosts the fps way up there on my laptop. So I uninstalled the UI (WTF and Interface folders) and took screenshots of your graphic options and changed my original settings to match yours, but it still drops back down to the original fps without your UI. Is there a setting somewhere in one of the .lua or config files or something in the WTF folder that makes my fps jump way up there? The UI is back in place now (only uninstalled it just to try and figure out what your setup does that boosts my fps so much, just in case you ever stop updating this package). And in the case of my laptop, which can't handle the resolution without making everything very tiny to read.

Thanks for your help.

Just off the top of my head though I was wondering if you know how I can get it to not show player status messages (Like Away) on the raid frames, and if you could think of any reason why the clickable area of the top left character in the raid frame is just a tiny sliver?

Those are the only problems I'm having right now and I thought maybe you'd have some insight.

I will be releasing a new version in a few weeks. Need to wait for all the dust to settle from this massive patch. No point in putting out an update when I will just have to do it again a few days later.

For now just update the addons as new versions become available.

Currently there are only 2 addons that may not be viable.

Cool Down Count - which I have replaced with Ommni CC and I actually like it better. Very easy to set up out of the box.

Status Window - I sent a PM to the author in hopes of an update, for now I have a mix of crap that is a poor excuse for status window
