Version: Classic
by: Caith [More]

Welcome to my custom user interface.
I use an ultrawidescreen monitor with a 3440x1440 resolution.

You can use a different resolution. Just resize and move frames and backgrounds.

Installation

Backup your interface + WTF folders!

Extract the zip file, you will find three folders: Interface, WTF, Fonts

- go to path: WTF -> Accounts
- change
ACCOUNTNAME to your own accountname in caps
- go inside the your accountname folder, and change
Living Flame to your Server
- go inside your server folder and change
Caith to the name of your toon
- Then you copy my WTF, Fonts and Interface folder into your wow directory. Replace all files.
- Enter the game type
/reflux switch CaithHC3 to load all the ingame profiles. Care, the command is case sensitive.

I use a couple of addons to modify my UI

Unitframes: PitBull, WeakAuras
Buttons: Dominos, OmniCC, WeakAuras, Masque
Combat: Details, CFCT, LoseControl, MSBT
Nameplates: Plater Nameplates
Map: Leatrix, BasicMinimap

Thumbs up target buff icons

I've been messing around with the UI a little bit trying to get it just right for my warrior but I noticed when I updated some addons that the border for the buff icons on the target frame changed. I've been trying to find where to change them back to the way they were but I can't seem to find how.

Here is a screenshot so you understand what I mean.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1)Which string I can use in config file to fit the UI for a 1200x800 widescreen
resolution?

2) Is there a way to move the whole raid frame (I'm used to Grid) instead of the single group one by one?

great job btw

Caith, can you make a list of the physical changes you have made to the various addons in your compilation? This would make it easier to know which addons should not be updated unless it is done by someone that knows what they are doing.

For example, I know you mentioned that rBuff's lua has been modified by a friend of yours. In your previous compilations for patch 2.3, you had also edited ClassTimer.lua and had custom images in the PitBull_Aura folder. Is this still the case for your newest compilation? I haven't checked yet.

Did you change the name in the WTF folder to ur own name, server name, so forth, before you loaded wow and replaced Caith's WTF with ur old one ?. Do that and the Caith UI should appear when u try.

Help. I have installed this UI 4 times now, (used to use the 2.4 version). But each time i do so, the Pitbull and KGpanels and the minimap are all incorrect. I have followed the instruction correctly yet no joy. I have attached a screen shot.

Advice?

Fixed - Use the option to load out of date addons

I've tried a lot of time to uninstall/Reinstall the UI package, load/reload. All is working except these fucking borders who don't want to appear.

Reinstall the UI from scratch ? You load profile ? Update kgpanels see if it works?

All of my KG Panels are off the screen, obviously I don't have it scaled correctly.

"Open the config.wtf file inside \world of warcraft\wtf\. Set the UIscale to SET uiScale "0.77999997138977" and set the UiScale on SET useUiScale "1"."

If I'm looking in the WTF folder that comes with the zip file, there is no config.wtf file in it.

If I load the game and then exit out, a config.wtf file is there but I see no uiScale or useUiScale text when viewing the file in notepad.

I believe it's quite obvious.

Stop, delete the INTERFACE, WTF & FONTS folders, download it again (or unzip/rar), and follow the instructions on the main page. You've set the UI scale incorrectly, etc. ->
Weird, im 99,99% sure I did, opend it in a wordpad, found the set thingys and pasted it in there.

So far it looks like this:

I can't fix the black/grey thingys in the corners, if you see bottom left and right, and up left. Don't know how to fix it.

Would greatly appriciate a little help

Also weird, I'm not doing anything, suddenly things just change without my having pressed anything. Now almost none of my buffs appear, and when they do, no timer when they count down, frustrating. Chat keeps getting to smallest size, and I don't do anything, just put it to 14 and it gets smaller.

*pulls hair out*
