MoveAnything enables you to move, scale, hide and adjust transparency of just about any screen element in WoW, offering tools to help you customize your UI. Some other frame modifications is also possible using MA's Frame Editors(introduced in 11.b2).
Type /move to show the main window or click the button below the game menu. This main window contains a list of Blizzard's frames(any element not in the list can be added to the Custom Frames category by either /move frameName, /hide frameName or one of the move/hide keybindings).
Maintained by Wagthaa of Earthen Ring EU since the pre-WotLK patch. Kudos to Skrag(original author), Jason(vanilla mod) & Vincent(tbc) for earlier versions.

much as I love this mod, I've noticed one thing that's oddly missing and that's the World Map
as you probably know, Blizzards default map comes in two sizes, I like to think of them as "much too big" and "much too small". ideally I'd like to resize the map to not take up the entire screen but still be big enough to be able to see details. in the old days I accomplished this using Cartographer 2 but of course that's completely dead and burried now |

Re: Nice :)
Sorry for any confusion regarding the name of the Totem Bar, it was renamed by mistake(well more an oversight than a mistake) and will be named "Shaman Totem Bar" in the "Class Specific" category in the next release. The vertical option for any bars (but the two vertical action bars) does not exists, and was originally written by one of the former authors, so thank him as I merely rewrote it(over and over again ^^). I will add a Vertical Shaman Totem Bar to my todo list, but can't make any promises as to when it will make it in. |

This is just a repost from way back April.
This problem still exists I was after a add-on that would move the Tooltip for a item in ones bags and loaded this one after trying a bunch of tooltip relocate add ons. Ran in into a issue, if using any bag addons such as OnBag3, bagon, ect. it would not relocate the tooltip. If default blizzard bags were used no problem it would relocate the tooltip perfectly. The issue seems to be in what the frame name is when it checks to see if it can be moved. (I modded the code to enhance debugging) Code:
function MovAny:hGameTooltip_SetOwner(owner, anchor) if GameTooltip.MASkip then return end --dbg("GTt SO "..owner:GetName()) if owner:GetName() ~= nil and string.match(owner:GetName(), "ContainerFrame[1-9][0-9]*") then --dbg("GTt Blizzard Bags") if MovAny:IsFrameHooked("BagItemTooltipMover") then MovAny:HookTooltip(_G["BagItemTooltipMover"]) end end I added this to quick fix it for OneBag3. Code:
function MovAny:hGameTooltip_SetOwner(owner, anchor) if GameTooltip.MASkip then return end --dbg("GTt SO "..owner:GetName()) if owner:GetName() ~= nil and string.match(owner:GetName(), "ContainerFrame[1-9][0-9]*") then --dbg("GTt Blizzard Bags") if MovAny:IsFrameHooked("BagItemTooltipMover") then MovAny:HookTooltip(_G["BagItemTooltipMover"]) end end if owner:GetName() ~= nil and string.match(owner:GetName(), "OneBagFrameBag[0-9]Item[0-9]*") then --dbg("GTt OneBag3") if MovAny:IsFrameHooked("BagItemTooltipMover") then MovAny:HookTooltip(_G["BagItemTooltipMover"]) end end end Now it work's like a charm but this need's a better fix that is agnostic of the bag addon used or not used thus it would not matter what the frame name is it would work. *** This now does not seem to work anymore and bugsack is reporting errors on version 11.b3.4 Code:
4x MoveAnything-11.b3.4\MoveAnything.lua:5247: attempt to call method 'IsFrameHooked' (a nil value) <in C code>: in function `SetOwner' Interface\FrameXML\ContainerFrame.lua:767: in function `ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter': <string>:"*:OnEnter":1: in function <[string "*:OnEnter"]:1> Locals: (*temporary) = <function> defined =[C]:-1 = <function> defined =[C]:-1 = <function> @ MoveAnything\MoveAnything.lua:5234: --- Code:

Nice :)
First, let me just say that I found this addon yesterday and after playing with it last night on my druid, I'm really loving it. I spent easily an hour moving stuff around and seeing what was what. I'm sure I'll end up undoing what I've done so far and redoing it as I figure out exactly what I want to do.
I do have a question/request that developed as a result of seeing what I could do. On my druid, an option exists that takes the Shapeshift bar and turns it vertical. Love, love, LOVE this. I don't know if this is something that exists in WoW without this addon, or if this is something you created. So this morning, after downloading the newest build, I logged onto my Shaman and tried to find the Totems "stance" bar. I finally located it as Timer, though for the life of me I can't remember which grouping it's in. I was so disappointed that it only had a horizontal setting. Is there any way to make it vertical? Or does the fact that each button has a 'fly-out' sub-menu prevent this? |

The actual error message would be immensely helpful, or having at least the file name and line number would help me a lot. |

Released 11.b3.4, fixing an issue that would cause MA to appear not to be saving variables though the error actually happened during MA's initialization.
I am hoping this was the sole issue causing the mentioned behavior, [b]so feedback if this fixes it for you or you are still afflicted by it would be much appreciated![b]. Fifth release in 48 hours, how I hate rushed releases. I apologies for any inconvenience! Change summary for 11.b3.4:

The frame you are looking for is in the list as "Top Center Status Display" under the Miscellaneous category. The actual framename, should you be be interested, is WorldStateAlwaysUpFrame. |

The one frame I can't find an option for is the world state score frame used in BGs (AB), some world pvp objectives, and a few instance encounters (HoR I'm looking at you). That last frame would make this the complete deal for me.

Positions subject to change.
Dear Author,
I am finding that the positions I set for my actions bars are subject to change when I switched to windowed and windowed-fullscreen, dispite there being enough room to display my bars. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but I never had this problem previous to 4.0.1. (from windowed to fullscreen). I like my minimap being bottom center of my map and I want it to stay exactly 26cm from either right or left on a 24 inch screen. -TPranara |
