Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

Supported Units:

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

No, I play a mana class with the power bar shown, it takes up about 1/4 of the frame with a height of 10 with the scaling at 1.36. How wide am I going to have to make the power bar to have it visible.

The class-reaction coloring seems to be a little funky too; in raids last night i was getting an issue with the player I targeted after targeting a hostile mob the player would be colored red. In Dalaran with the NPC mages scattered around the city the coloring would be correct when targeting them after not targeting anything before. If I selected a player before targeting the NPC the frame color would look like a washed out green.

i just got finished installing this addon and designing my perfect unitframes layout...THANK YOU!

ive been playing wow and using addons like a maniac since release and this is hands down my favorite one of all time. If every addon could have as much customization with minimal memory usage I'd truly be in nerd heaven.

please continue to support it, i will support you wherever needed!

I know this. However, if you didn't give this argument, I wouldn't have added your suggestion. I still think it causes confusion. Enjoy anyway.

Oh yea, I've also added the five-second rule mana tick. It's the same way I did it back on StellarUF, like it or not.

There is no error (if I'm understanding you completely). I'm requesting the ability to keep class coloring as an option but have the option (at the same time as class coloring) to color anything reaction based with the reaction colors. The ability to change the pre-set colors for classes and reaction is already implemented so it shouldn't be an issue to adjust eh colors if for some reason DK's are close to hostile and rogues similar to neutral.

Players should always have a specified race while NPCs never have one. You should use creature type for NPCs. If NPC creature type is unknown or "Not Specified", it should show up as "Unknown". On a side note, players also have a creature type, and there is a difference. Try the following example:

I don't know about mixing class coloring with reaction coloring since some of the colors are similar and can cause confusion or hesitation. You did find an error of mine. I didn't mean to color non-PVP players as friendly. I'll fix this in the next release.

Any possible way to add the ability to class color target frames but have them show reaction colors on friendly/neutral/hostile/enemy player?

So if you were targeting a friendly player (or enemy player if on PvE server or in sanctuary zones) the target color would be their class color but if you targeted an NPC or hostile player it would show their reaction color instead of class color.

When you are targetting a unit (or your target is, etc.) that has no race data, the display in the unit frame is something like "Not Specified" or "Not Available", which is longer than any actual race type and can jumble/overlap other text areas in the frame. Would it be possible to change what it says when it can't tell the race, to something like "N/A" or "None"?
