Cellular is an instant messenger mod (for only whispers) based on the functionality of an old version of ForgottenChat.

How to Use:

"/cellular", check Interface Options->AddOns, or right-click a window for options
Left-click a window to toggle the editbox
Left-click a tab to activate it
Shift-left-click and drag a window to move
Shift-left-click and drag bottom-right corner to resize
Right-click a tab for show/close/options dropdown
Middle-click a tab to close
Hold ctrl and close any window/tab to quick remove from history
Several convenient buttons (some require shift clicking for confirmation reasons)

Warnings:

If you have history enabled and notice that Cellular is using a lot of memory, you should cleanup your history entries using Cellular's history options.
If you're experiencing crashing due to memory errors, disable and clear your history.
If you cherish your history, you can back up the saved variables file and then delete it. You can view it in any text editor later. The location of the saved variables file is here:
...\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\<Server Name>\<Character Name>\SavedVariables\Cellular.lua

When I type /w Player & start typing it now opens a window right away..before I actually say anything..is there a way to disable that? I liked it better the way it was when the window wouldn't populate until I actually sent the whisper

wierdly my debugger (baud) isn't reporting anything...cellular isn't allowing me to right click at all on names, to 'prompt' a bug either Oo I'll take a look at my stuff though to see if I can find the conflict

There is a script error that you should have seen and reported. Make sure you have a way to see errors so you can do your part to help debug problems. Anyway, the problem can be easily fixed on PlayerLinkMenu's side, but I doubt anyone supporting the mod to care to fix it.

@ fyzickz and pompachomp - there is indeed an error. It only happens when you have an even number of history name entries. Should be fixed in the latest version.

Other wise, this is a great low memory addon.

Right-click menu is one of the reason for Cellular being light. Also, options panel is only easier to use when you need to change all of your settings at once. Not great for quick tweaks.

Some addon or modified version of Cellular is probably delaying Cellular's loading until you send/receive a whisper.

Same here. Works for begining (~a-b) and the end (t-z). Hmm, just now, they showed up, but then once I went to '' show recent" and straight back to "Show Entry" and the same check marks showed up again. This is the error message I get in swatter.

EDIT: I was afk for about 30 minutes, and when I came back, all of the names loaded up and the history works as it should. My guess is that it had to load them up.

Usually this happens only when someone else starts the talk, and goes ok when I reply, but sometimes it also miss the first message I send (I see it on cellular, but the recipient doesn't receive it). I use chatter mod to set chat windows, let me know if you need more info. Anyway, thanks for the great addon

The recording of names is temporary and only used to recall people who whispered during your login session. It's gone once you reload or logout.
