Kith's UI (Elv UI)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0
by: Kithicor [More]

Recommended Resolution: 1920x1080
Recommended Players: Raiding DPS/Heals

-------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE UI

Kith's UI is a High Performance raid UI, utilizing aesthetic components as well as perceptibility. Although developed for the Hunter Class, Kith's UI can be adapted to any class, though primarily Healer classes and Utility DPS.

With UI elements toward the bottom and center of the screen, Kith's UI provides a "one-stop-shop" kind of feel, having everything in one spot, so attention isn't thrown around, causing a delay in reaction.

--------------------------------------------

DISCLAIMER OF SUPPORT

I do not provide support for this UI package, or for the addons contained within it. It is your responsibility to keep the addons up-to-date (I use MMOUI Minion). If you have any questions about the operation of any addon within this pack, it is your responsibility to find the addon author(s) and seek support from them.

THIS UI PACK WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT 1650x1080 SCREEN RESOLUTION. Any other resolution can work, but you'll need to move various addons around (particularly Bartender, KGPanels and Omen).

--------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Unpack the archive and rename folders

The archive contains three folders, all relative to your World of Warcraft installation folder. The "Fonts" folder should replace your existing Fonts folder. Same thing for the "Interface" folder. Note: The Interface folder contains many sub-folders. You need all of them. Finally, the "WTF" folder. Within this folder, under the Account folder, you'll see a folder called "ACCOUNTNAME". Rename this to your account name. Under that folder is a "SERVERNAME" folder, and under that a "CHARACTERNAME" folder. Rename those to match your server and character. If you've ever used another UI pack, this should be familiar to you.

--------------------------------------------

STEP 2: Log in to the game and setup addons

Once you're loaded into the game, the next step is to setup all the addon profiles.

XCT:
Type /xct
Click Profiles
Select "Default"
*NOTE* MAY HAVE TO GO TO FLOATING COMBAT TEXT WITHIN /XCT AND UNSELECT AND RESELECT

Skada:
Open your Interface Options, AddOns tab
Find Skada
Click the +
Click Profiles
Under Existing Profiles, select "Default"

ElvUI: SKIP INSTALLATION PROCESS
type /ec
Select profiles
make sure default is enabled.

Grid:
type /grid
select profiles
default
NOTE: I may have missed some addons. Based on the above instructions, you should get the general idea of how to switch them to the correct profile.

--------------------------------------------

IAddons

ELV UI
XCT
Skada
RSA
SimpleResources
DBM
PheonixStyle
Grid

- 4.2.0 : Updated to Elv UI (modded)

- 4.1.1 : Updated for patch 4.1

hey I'm loving the UI, but i have ran into one problem, when i go into a group or any raid for that matter, when loot comes up (uncommon or w/e) I cant roll on it at all because xloot is not appearing anywhere on my screen, I've searched for the anchor, tried resetting the profile, but nothing is working, any help would be appreciated, cheers.

Edit: nm found the problem it was missing Xlootgroup in the addons thats why i could'nt roll.

Again. I do not get these critical errors. As I've said, it could be from having your graphics TOO high, seeing as I run with shit maxxed. But if you'd like to find the particular addon that is making you crash, go for it. Turn them off one by one and see.

Then its not worth installing is it? I liked using this UI before, but the constant shut downs from having a critical wow error made me uninstall it. If it was fixed, I would have no problem trying it again.

Skepsis Raid UI uses minimal resources....

If you're going for minimal you should cut out optional addons like:

Align
Atlas
BankStack
caelNameplates
Cellular
DBM
Omen
RatingBuster
Recount

Those are all optional and do very little to minimalize the resource use of any UI.
If you cut those out you would see a huge performance boost immediately.
And then let people download those on their own.

Just my two cents, or 3.

Thanks for the answer, this sometimes fixes it. However after downloading the update I'm having the same issue as this user.

What is the drop down in the login screen for and how do you remove?
I don't have multiple linked accounts and it only came up when I started using the new update, the account names in the drop down are FESTE44 and PALMERJ1 (if they mean anything to you). Any idea how to remove them?

What did you do with your recount? No matter what options I try I get Dama and then the rest of the title bar is filled by buttons, and names take up the entire space as well.

I think an update is needed for this ui. It looks great, but as soon as I logged it started counting off lua errors. There was 5 pages before I decided to exit.

Normally you should only see that if you have multiple linked accounts.

please help me really want to get this ui working
Help me im Lost!!!!
Go to your wow folder, copy / replace (and backup) your old WTF and Interface folders with the new folders (also past in the Fonts folders).

Then go to WTF - Account - Change name to your accounts name - Change server to your server - Change character to your character and then you're done.

Edit: problem done :>
9/10 1 of your addons messing in the memory where it should not be, track it down by removing 1 by 1.
