Kith's UI (Elv UI)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0
by: Kithicor [More]

Recommended Resolution: 1920x1080
Recommended Players: Raiding DPS/Heals

-------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE UI

Kith's UI is a High Performance raid UI, utilizing aesthetic components as well as perceptibility. Although developed for the Hunter Class, Kith's UI can be adapted to any class, though primarily Healer classes and Utility DPS.

With UI elements toward the bottom and center of the screen, Kith's UI provides a "one-stop-shop" kind of feel, having everything in one spot, so attention isn't thrown around, causing a delay in reaction.

--------------------------------------------

DISCLAIMER OF SUPPORT

I do not provide support for this UI package, or for the addons contained within it. It is your responsibility to keep the addons up-to-date (I use MMOUI Minion). If you have any questions about the operation of any addon within this pack, it is your responsibility to find the addon author(s) and seek support from them.

THIS UI PACK WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT 1650x1080 SCREEN RESOLUTION. Any other resolution can work, but you'll need to move various addons around (particularly Bartender, KGPanels and Omen).

--------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Unpack the archive and rename folders

The archive contains three folders, all relative to your World of Warcraft installation folder. The "Fonts" folder should replace your existing Fonts folder. Same thing for the "Interface" folder. Note: The Interface folder contains many sub-folders. You need all of them. Finally, the "WTF" folder. Within this folder, under the Account folder, you'll see a folder called "ACCOUNTNAME". Rename this to your account name. Under that folder is a "SERVERNAME" folder, and under that a "CHARACTERNAME" folder. Rename those to match your server and character. If you've ever used another UI pack, this should be familiar to you.

--------------------------------------------

STEP 2: Log in to the game and setup addons

Once you're loaded into the game, the next step is to setup all the addon profiles.

XCT:
Type /xct
Click Profiles
Select "Default"
*NOTE* MAY HAVE TO GO TO FLOATING COMBAT TEXT WITHIN /XCT AND UNSELECT AND RESELECT

Skada:
Open your Interface Options, AddOns tab
Find Skada
Click the +
Click Profiles
Under Existing Profiles, select "Default"

ElvUI: SKIP INSTALLATION PROCESS
type /ec
Select profiles
make sure default is enabled.

Grid:
type /grid
select profiles
default
NOTE: I may have missed some addons. Based on the above instructions, you should get the general idea of how to switch them to the correct profile.

Try TipTac instead of Cowtip (include in Malev's UI)

Instance Crash...

Hello Malev/Kithikor first off i want to say this UI has been my favorite for a long time now i used it way back when you had the 1900 widescreen kithikor version and haven't tried any others since.

As for my problem i recently (yesterday) updated to this new version of the UI which runs a bit better then the old version but i noticed everytime i go into an instance it will hang and disconnect me from the server. I am still trying to figure out what exactly it is but if you have any suggestions or know what exactly is causing it any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the great UI keep up the good work.

Mortemur, Frostwolf

*EDIT*

I believe i have found the source of the problem, i replaced onebag3 with bagnon and apparently skinner does not like that, i was getting errors everytime i would log on and the lock out of instances with it since i disabled skinner i haven't been dc'd from an instance.

On another note i would also recommend clearing recount whenever you don't need it storing info for you, i ran ulduar tonight i watched during boss fights it was racking up about 20+ MB of memory all by itself.

Can you give me the settings that you are using for MSBT's fonts ?

When I choose the "Default" profile, there is the MSBT Porky Fonts whereas in your screen, it seems to be an other...

Can you give me a screenshot of your Fonts settings windows please?

Thanks you for this UI! I LOVE IT. Adapted on my Tankadin UI

Yes, it happens to me occasionally. I fix it by disabling DBM, logging on then zoning out of wherever I am then I can log off and enable it. It's very weird.

The battlenet account doesn't work. you need to rename it your "old" account name.

2 more questions.

1. How do I turn on the map icon that allows me to find low level quest and other things.

2. My eye sight is not as good as it used to be, so how do I change the transparent color of the quest log, character profile or any other window that i may open so that it is not transparent.

...Thanks Again

Denzil
1. after setting up SLDT, right click the tracking icon in the top left corner.

2. type /skinner, go to colours and change the backdrop color opacity up.

Malev, the UI looks great. Everything works well. Only thing i cannot figure out is, how to get my stance bar to show on warrior, and how to get my aura bar to show on my paladin.
