Kith's UI (Elv UI)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0
by: Kithicor [More]

Recommended Resolution: 1920x1080
Recommended Players: Raiding DPS/Heals

-------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE UI

Kith's UI is a High Performance raid UI, utilizing aesthetic components as well as perceptibility. Although developed for the Hunter Class, Kith's UI can be adapted to any class, though primarily Healer classes and Utility DPS.

With UI elements toward the bottom and center of the screen, Kith's UI provides a "one-stop-shop" kind of feel, having everything in one spot, so attention isn't thrown around, causing a delay in reaction.

--------------------------------------------

DISCLAIMER OF SUPPORT

I do not provide support for this UI package, or for the addons contained within it. It is your responsibility to keep the addons up-to-date (I use MMOUI Minion). If you have any questions about the operation of any addon within this pack, it is your responsibility to find the addon author(s) and seek support from them.

THIS UI PACK WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT 1650x1080 SCREEN RESOLUTION. Any other resolution can work, but you'll need to move various addons around (particularly Bartender, KGPanels and Omen).

--------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Unpack the archive and rename folders

The archive contains three folders, all relative to your World of Warcraft installation folder. The "Fonts" folder should replace your existing Fonts folder. Same thing for the "Interface" folder. Note: The Interface folder contains many sub-folders. You need all of them. Finally, the "WTF" folder. Within this folder, under the Account folder, you'll see a folder called "ACCOUNTNAME". Rename this to your account name. Under that folder is a "SERVERNAME" folder, and under that a "CHARACTERNAME" folder. Rename those to match your server and character. If you've ever used another UI pack, this should be familiar to you.

--------------------------------------------

STEP 2: Log in to the game and setup addons

Once you're loaded into the game, the next step is to setup all the addon profiles.

XCT:
Type /xct
Click Profiles
Select "Default"
*NOTE* MAY HAVE TO GO TO FLOATING COMBAT TEXT WITHIN /XCT AND UNSELECT AND RESELECT

Skada:
Open your Interface Options, AddOns tab
Find Skada
Click the +
Click Profiles
Under Existing Profiles, select "Default"

ElvUI: SKIP INSTALLATION PROCESS
type /ec
Select profiles
make sure default is enabled.

Grid:
type /grid
select profiles
default
NOTE: I may have missed some addons. Based on the above instructions, you should get the general idea of how to switch them to the correct profile.

--------------------------------------------

IAddons

ELV UI
XCT
Skada
RSA
SimpleResources
DBM
PheonixStyle
Grid

- 4.2.0 : Updated to Elv UI (modded)

- 4.1.1 : Updated for patch 4.1

WEWT!

ok think I found the culprit for all these system crashes and I must say I am glad. I haven't had an extensive time to test this out but I know that when it is disabled I am crash free on login. I wanted to post my findings so others that have this issue can test this out and see if this also fixes there problems.

The addons that seem to be giving me the issue is:

SharedMedia
SharedMedia-Blizzard

Please post all results so we can help skepsis keep this up.

this UI is awesome, the only problem i am having is that it works fine for a while. and then after a couple weeks it starts to crash and give me serious errors while trying to log on the character I have been using the most to that point. This is now the third time this has happened to me while using this UI. SKepsis....HELP!!!

Awesome UI package, but I'm having one problem that I hope is an easy fix, my minimap is generally just black, with no art, it still shows quest icons and herbs and whatnot but not having the art makes it kinda pointless... any suggestions? or a way to reset it?

I close out the critical errors and log in again, choose my toon and it is fine until the next time I log into a toon again. It normally crashed right as the loading screen goes into the game. I LOVE this UI, really wish I could figure out this issue.
I have that same issue where it tweaks out but i usually wait a few mins and try again and it works. depending on what error wow is throwing up at ya you should be able to look up the code. researching this as i write xD

After about 2 mins of searching for commmon wow error codes i found a nice blue post. this might help find wheither its an addon specific problem or something on the computer.

thx,

The map addon is called mapster, just for future reference you just have to go through the list of addons that come with the default set. I dont use the default map addon since carbonite combines the minimap and the quest map xD

On the main screen thankfully the author has given all the commands that you would have to use to get the bars to the right area. If you need some more help send me a PM and ill help ya out. Theres some minor stuff you have move/change etc. If this is the first addon Suite you use it can be intimidating but its far worth the effort to get it set up.

Thanks a ton. That is one thing off my list. Now to try and fix the wow critical errors as well. Doesn't happen that often but still something that is quite annoying. If I use a different ui compilation everything works great. I assume it is a addon configuration error as I was reading from multiple addons that aquire the same information can cause wow to crash. Wish me luck if I find out anything I will post it.

Heya mate. I have a question about the pitbull frames. Iam a Death knight and so far i have played with your UI for a week or two but I found this very annoying with this Runes i have over my buffs. I tried to make the Runes go to the other side of the bar. But still I cannot do that or find it.
So how do I move my Runes from covering all my buffs?

Love your UI but I seem to run into a couple issues trying to implement your screen. They aren't big ones by no means but would definitely add to the playing experience.

#1 - chat frames are to long and when I go to change to the right width the hight then becomes to tall and won't match up to the predefined areas. I have tried everything that I know what to do and I just can't change the height.

#2 - Damage meters has the red title. I noticed on your SS that bar was not there is there something I could do ?

Thanks again man for this UI I use it on my laptop (1650x1050) and my desktop (1400x900) and both seem flawless except for that.

Hey Malev, I've been using your UI off and on over the last year, I do love it, but for some reason your UI does crash quite frequently, or at least it causes a lot of critical errors while logging in... I was wondering if you have these same issues when you log in, and if you've managed a way to fix them. I installed the Addon Control panel, so if wow crashes I will turn off all other addons, load my toon, then use the ACP and turn on all the addons I want, but that doesn't always work : /

I do love your new UI, I switched to Arkive UI when you put everything in the middle of the screen, but now that it's back to normal I love it, especially the Forte addon, its freakin' awesome! (when it works :P)
Unfortunately, I don't get these errors. I just updated with almost all updated addons. Hopefully you wont have a problem!
