Kith's UI (Elv UI)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0
by: Kithicor [More]

Recommended Resolution: 1920x1080
Recommended Players: Raiding DPS/Heals

-------------------------------------------
ABOUT THE UI

Kith's UI is a High Performance raid UI, utilizing aesthetic components as well as perceptibility. Although developed for the Hunter Class, Kith's UI can be adapted to any class, though primarily Healer classes and Utility DPS.

With UI elements toward the bottom and center of the screen, Kith's UI provides a "one-stop-shop" kind of feel, having everything in one spot, so attention isn't thrown around, causing a delay in reaction.

--------------------------------------------

DISCLAIMER OF SUPPORT

I do not provide support for this UI package, or for the addons contained within it. It is your responsibility to keep the addons up-to-date (I use MMOUI Minion). If you have any questions about the operation of any addon within this pack, it is your responsibility to find the addon author(s) and seek support from them.

THIS UI PACK WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT 1650x1080 SCREEN RESOLUTION. Any other resolution can work, but you'll need to move various addons around (particularly Bartender, KGPanels and Omen).

--------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Unpack the archive and rename folders

The archive contains three folders, all relative to your World of Warcraft installation folder. The "Fonts" folder should replace your existing Fonts folder. Same thing for the "Interface" folder. Note: The Interface folder contains many sub-folders. You need all of them. Finally, the "WTF" folder. Within this folder, under the Account folder, you'll see a folder called "ACCOUNTNAME". Rename this to your account name. Under that folder is a "SERVERNAME" folder, and under that a "CHARACTERNAME" folder. Rename those to match your server and character. If you've ever used another UI pack, this should be familiar to you.

--------------------------------------------

STEP 2: Log in to the game and setup addons

Once you're loaded into the game, the next step is to setup all the addon profiles.

XCT:
Type /xct
Click Profiles
Select "Default"
*NOTE* MAY HAVE TO GO TO FLOATING COMBAT TEXT WITHIN /XCT AND UNSELECT AND RESELECT

Skada:
Open your Interface Options, AddOns tab
Find Skada
Click the +
Click Profiles
Under Existing Profiles, select "Default"

ElvUI: SKIP INSTALLATION PROCESS
type /ec
Select profiles
make sure default is enabled.

Grid:
type /grid
select profiles
default
NOTE: I may have missed some addons. Based on the above instructions, you should get the general idea of how to switch them to the correct profile.

I'm a DK so I see my frost strike/plague strike but nothing else.
Oh! And Satrinas buff bar, I can't open the option window.
Interface->AddOn->Satrina-Shows nothing.
Ty.
type /sbf options and load my profile.

and your debuffs should be showing up with class timer.

/classtimer and load my profile.

Again :P

Sorry to bother you again.
Even when I type /Sbf options I can't open it.
On my druid it works flawless, but not on my Death knight.
And one more thing.
I can't seem to move the heartstone/healthpotions/mountbar, where do I turn it off/move it?
Besides those 2 things, GREAT addon!

The things circled in red...I would like to either remove or move them. But I haven't a clue what they are.

Awesome UI

Firstly let me say that I love the work that you have done here. It is awesome.

I downloaded and installed the UI, and your instructions were great. Was able to get the UI looking perfect. But I had problems with my WOW and other toons on my account and the with the main toon. Any time I entered an instance WOW either shutdown and generated an error message, or it froze.

Logging into other toons some worked fine if they were in same city, but any thing else I got frozen or error message after WOW collapsed. To be on safe side I rebuilt WOW and started with clean install. Same problem. So started me thinking. The problem is on my end I have no doubt. First thing I thought of is resolution. I am at 1900 x 1200. I run an intel core duo iMac 24" with 2GB Ram.

I have noticed some discussion around resolution of UI, so was wondering if this could be the cause of the problems I am having? I am a real nooB at all this UI stuff.

Secondly in some of your posts you said you would be happy to tell us how to build this for 1900 x 1200. Is that still the case?

Another question that I have. What is the addon that generates the transparent overlay that forms the framework at the bottom of the screen?

I do appreciate all the work you have put in here, and the fact that you have shared this work. I for one will have a better gaming experience because of your commitment to this UI project. Thank you I say!

Z
