In the change log it sais:
> 0.9 > - Tracked Achievements are now saved between sessions. However, this does not seem to work (or at least not as I would expect it)... My expectation would be that I can "Shift Click an Achievment" to track it and when I log out and back in, the same Achievments would again automatically be tracked. This does not work for me. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? |

Are there any mods that make it so this one won't work? I can get the tracker to show up on my screen, but the achievement window looks exactly the same (still the default) and when I shift click, it opens the default tracker, and doesn't attach anything to the addon's tracker. I'm wondering if I have an addon conflict, but I don't have any other addons that do anything to achievements.

Probably my one and only complaint, it won't save for me either. I really hate having to research for the 5 I was tracking and retrack them everytime I log in and out :/
Other than that. Addon RAWKS!

It seems that TrackerUpdate() was called before LoadTracker() which then overwrote the stored data before reading it. One work around I found is the following: In Initialize() I added a line self.markLoaded = false; Then I put all of TrackerUpdate() in an if-end bracket: if self.markLoaded then for i=1, #self.tracker.achievements do GLDG_Print("TrackerUpdate: updating entry "..tostring(i).." with id "..tostring(self.tracker.achievements[i]:GetID())) self:SetTrackerAchievement(i, self.tracker.achievements[i]:GetID()) end end And in LoadTracker() I added a new line at the start of the function: self.markLoaded = true With this it works like a charm. Feel free to use this, but if you have a better way of solving this I won't mind :-) |

Hi Syzgyn
I noticed another thing that seems to have problems with being saved across logins. If I set the zoom factor to say 0.7 the tracking list scales accordingly. If I relog, the list is scaled at 100% again. If I then type /ua, the zoom setting is still displayed as 0.7 but I need to move the slider to reapply it to the list. |

I too found the tracker was not remembering what achievments I was tracking, nor what scale it was supposed to be - I implemented the code changes from Urbin below, which fixed what I was tracking, and then added the following change of my own:
in LoadTracker() add self:scaletracker() after Urbin's self.markLoaded = true; All seems fine now. |

Oh! That's an idea I just thought of! I originally wanted to know if achievements tracked could be placed in a quest tracker mostly because of screen space...
On that same line, would it be possible to make a FuBar plugin whose tooltip shows the achievement(s) you're tracking? Maybe make the FuBar plugin able to open the achievement frame, disable the screen tracker, etc?

Ok, I for myself am able to simply hack the corresponding WTF files to edit that without having to log into all the characters I play from time to time, still it would be nice to have your frame replace the original one by default. Maybe with a button to open the original one. |
