Maelstrom procs as combo points?

How hard would it be to make a mod to show maelstrom shaman stacks as combo points around the target frame? Maybe have an option to move em around the screen or something. Any replys are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I use StatusBars2 and turn off everything but the maelstrom counter.
