Addons making LogIN & OUT time longer.

Hello,
I need a little Help.

For about a week or so, I've noticed that Logging in, and logging out was taking an oddly long amount of time... I thought it was WoW, so I used the rapair thing, and but didn't select the AddOn thing.

Today, I Deactivated all My addons to see if it was the addons. It was.

I then went one by one, down my addon list to see what was making the long logging times.
A few of my fav Addons (Cartographer, Actioneer) made my log out time about 30-40 secs... Might not sounds like much but it adds up.

I activated all the addons I use, that didn't give me a long log out time.
I clocked it at 42.9 secs for log in, and 20.5 secs for log out.

that isn't normal... Without addons it takes about 3 or so secs to log in and Out.

I do have quite a lot of addons, which I will list below. If anyone knows how to make this go away, or even a replacement for the addons below that will lower the times above, please tell me.

Thanks.

(NOTE: all add-ons are Up to date from either Here, or Curse (I don't like curse, but they have addons not here that I like.))

Wow... that's a lot of addons, the reason it is taking so long is because WoW has to load all of those into memory

What i do before getting a new addon is think to myself "Do I really need this? does this addon expand my UI's usability or functionality?".

So that is my suggestion, live without some, or upgrade your computer

It is normal for addons to increase your load time. As Nuckin already pointed out, WoW has to load the files for those addons. It also has to load the saved variables for those on log in and save them on log out. It is natural that the ones taking up the largest chunk of time are two with large databases.

only load quest helper when you know you'll be needing it, that's probably your biggest culprit

EDIT: and see if this helps at all

also noticed you don't have performancefu or anything smiler, if you get one that monitors your addon memory usage, you usually can mouse over and see a list of which addons are taking the most memory, i find it a very good way to decide which is worth keeping, and when i should look for an alternative. good luck!

On top of maybe grabbing a performance monitor I would also recommend grabbing ACP (Addon Control Panel) from WoWAce, it allows you to disable and enable addons in game and as well set up profiles. I understand this is a loading/quitting the game post but it might be handy cause you could say set up a profile in ACP for raiding where you don't need as many addons running while in a raid. Don't know if that interests you at all but I find it extremely handy.

The addons Mera listed as well as Wowhead Looter are probably your biggest culprits.

Not completely off your topic, but I notice you have both Xloot Group and Teksloot, which is a bit redundant since Teksloot is a rewrite of Xloot Group. So you could prune one from your list, which will help a smidge.

Thanks for all the info, I've downloaded a performance add on, and will see whats going on.

The Addons that people have said use a lot of memory, if you know an Add-on that does the same thing, with out the memory usage, i wouldn't mind taking a look at them.

I remember in past versions of wow, you could change how much memory add-ons use. It was on the add on screen, but its no longer there... have the moved it, or have they just taken it out?

Again, thanks for all the info.

It was removed by Bliz, it's automatic now.

thought that would be the case.

Anyway, I was just playing, and performancefu told me that the top memory uses are QuestHelper, and 2 auctioneer addons (auctioneerAdvance, and the data one)
