Well ive always wanted to create a interface of my own ive looked through countless addons.

But now wewe come into 5.4 and we have a better understanding of whats right or wrong.

What could we say that the essential addons would be for a ui of this late into the expansion!!

There's no such thing in UI design.

All comes on how basic you want to have to UI.
1. Very basic woud be:
Unitframes
Bufframes
Actionbars
Minimap
Castbar
Chat
Bag Addon
DPS Meter
Tooltips
Nameplates

2. you coud add pvp addons (Gladius, Battelground targets) , Level addons and Bossmods (BigWigs/DBM)

3. Auction Addons, Mail Addons, Pet Battel Addons, Combo Points/ Class spec addons, Check whats on alts etc.

4. Extra addons to skin the UI (kgPanels, Aurora) or other addons and Data Broker like Bazooka etc., Fonts

a) Always make shure to use as many options of an addon as possible to avoid having 3 addons that can show buffs.
b) If you add many addons always add an ingame AddOn manager.
c) You shoud support all classes check that addon Profils can be loaded easy by adding: Reflux and nibProfileLoader

You can look into my UI, I don't have much xp in lua but so its one of the only UIs here thats made of many singel addons that can be added or removed or changed to your own needs. My target with the UI is that you don't have to download any other addon ever because everything is included.
