Does anyone know if its possible to make a exstra map in wow, like a exstra minimap in the corner ? if so how ?

It's not possible to create a second minimap.

It would be possible to create a map using minimap textures, but it wouldn't be able to show minimap blips on it (eg. node tracking), and it would be a huge amount of work. See this thread for a recent discussion.

Oh geez, I know I'm going to catch hell for this...

How come when you use Carbonite you have effectively two mini maps, the default (or AddOn-replaced) and Carbonite's? If you can't have two mini maps, then what is going on there?

That pretty much sums up how Carbonite is when the Blizz map is not merged into it, allowing for two maps.

You can toggle the BattlefieldMinimap outside of PVP instances. They had an option to do so using a setting on the WorldMap, but the control was removed in WoD. The Lua function still exists for this.

/run ToggleBattlefieldMinimap()

Note: BattlefieldMinimap isn't a Minimap object. Its a miniaturized version of the WorldMap.
