Chat box settings?

Is there any way to filter the chat box to stop it from posting everyone's crafting of items around me? When I'm in the Auction House my chat is constantly scrolling up with hundreds of "XYZ creates Ghost Iron Bar" or whatever. Messages like guild chat or even what I got in my mail are immediately scolled away into oblivion.

I could not find anything related to this in the Settings.

Why does Blizz think everyone needs to know what everyone else is crafting? Especially during a new expansion when there's so much going on.

Yes; you can filter what is shown in the chatbox.

- Right-click on the name of the chat-tab (named "General" by default) and select "Settings".
- You will now see the page to modify what events/channels that the "General" tab will show.
- Under the "Other" section you should see something called "Tradeskill". That should be what you want to turn off.

You can create multiple tabs and change these setting on a per-tab basis.
