Minimap and location problem

Just to start off, thanks to Rythal for everything you're doing to keep this add-on alive. Without it, I'm not sure if I can continue playing as it's too hard to get used to/use the in-game map and quest tracking.

I do have one problem that's driving me away from Carbonite right now though, the minimap. I can't stand it. I've always left it undocked and minimized to it's smallest setting so I don't have to look at it. However, it's the only way to see quest locations and gather points right now. If I minimize it, I can't see my gather spots or quest locations. If I expand it, I can't see my questing zones or the map style I like (less detail is better for me and while the Google map feature is great, I don't want it in my minimap), and quest auto-tracking is basically worthless.

I can't stand the standard UI for the maps, but it shows my gather points. And Questhelper just isn't the same.

Any help or advice would be great.
