It's not 27 gigs, its only 23.3 gigs.
My screenshots folder is 313 mb.
My WTF is 116 mb
My Interface is 109 mb.
The patch 4.0 data is 3.97 gb though, so deduct those it'll be about 19 gb. Deduct the other 2.12 Gb of patches from 3.0 -> 3.3.5 it'll be about 17 gb remaining as the game's core necessities.
