Evidently the cats at Elvui had implemented a back door into their ui to help with with their maintenance.


Since i don't know dick about computers, i just wanted to know if there's anything like this in RealUI, and if so, why.

There is not, has not, and will never be anything like that in RealUI.

And if anyone tries to pull crap like with files that they are hosting here, their files will be very promptly pulled from the site as soon as we are made aware of it.

I discovered that an addon hosted on this site, ElvUI Shadow & Light Edit, has its own backdoor. One that is quite large in scope.

It looks like it has been removed from the code today, after I posted it on reddit, but I thought that you guys should be made aware.
