Sadly Slarti does not seem too interested in maintaining this. The inscription bloat has to do with inks being considered buyable. They should be removed from that list, since you need ink to buy ink anyway. Virtually every recipe is considered craftable with buyable items.

For those who would like to know what has changed for each revision, I've found the most up-to-date log is at the Google code wiki page found here (to HonorGoG: maybe you could just put this link in the Change Log tab, since it is still showing the change log for v4.3.1)

I love this addon, particularly the ability to create custom categories.
Inscription is badly broken though. Each item crafted can freeze the game for upwards of 15 seconds. I have queued up 60 inks, gone and made dinner, ate the dinner, and come back, and still not be through the queue.

I noticed in your code you use the variable 'type' in a few places. This is a reserved word in lua and really should not be used as a variable. it is the built in function that returns the type of a value, ie. type({1,2,3}) will return "table"

I have the same problem. As a cat druid, I can see my combo points fine... on a drake in the Malygos fight... nothing.

Yes it's useful... for me, the Savage Roar bar is especially useful... The other bars are a bit redundant for me, though, as I use x-perl and OmniCC. first, an always-shown window like this should have a fairly low strata. You are using the tooltip strata, which is the highest, so this window blocks everything else, including bags, charactar frame, or whatever is under it. I suggest setting the strata on the frame (and text layer of course) to "MEDIUM" or "LOW"...
