Okay guys, so I'm curious of your opinions on a couple of things. I have a few ideas for Dranged but I'm not sure whether I should do them, so I'd like some input. First of all, I'm tempted to create a module to allow buffs to be casted more easily. For example, I think it might be possible to allow Deranged to include macros, so...

New version and a new milestone at that! No new features this time but a lot of reworked code, everything I've done in this release is contained within the Updates.txt file, either in the zip or at Google Docs. I'm certainly doing a better job of keeping track of what I've changed now that I'm consistently updating that file. Oh a...

Ah, it's done that to me before, I think the update system is a bit buggy. The thing is, according to my control panel for editing this page even, it says the latest file is Deranged.02.03.02.R.zip but you're right, on clicking the link it goes to 02.00.00.R. It's all very strange. I don't want to keep you waiting, so what I've do...

I've been busy ...again. << Check out the changelog and see what I've done, I've fixed a few things I've found that needed fixing, I added a new element for better database control and most importantly, I got my hands dirty with my Pastmaster Lib and retooled the buffchecker to make it more robust and to ... allow weapon buffs! Deran...

If you think that's something, just wait until you see the second milestone. I don't want to come over as big-heady but I am proud of this one, if only a little. I've put real effort into testing and polishing this release up, especially after the botched first two versions. I'm having so much fun running around with my Draenei techn...

I see the problem and personally, I plead the fifth and blame it directly upon the fever I had. << The problem is that I had made changes ages and ages ago to fix an error and I thought I'd committed them with .01 but comparing the code between my local version and the .01 uploaded, this is apparently not the case. Try .02, that r...

Beyond the BS thing (which was silly) I'm honestly bamboozled as to why this isn't working for you. One reason could be that I run disembedded (I load my libraries once, not 150+ times, I prefer it that way) and it just doesn't want to work embedded... I could upload a version with the libraries included as their disembedded selve...

Oh, I see. I'm sorry, I misunderstood the post because I was a bit out of it at the time. That's why I haven't replied in all this time, I've been a bit bedridden. So I'm not in any state to update at the moment really, luckily the fix is easy. It's just a line I forgot to remove, it was from an earlier experimental version. Just...

It's possible you don't have the latest SCT (which isn't your fault, files on WoWI aren't updated as often as they are on the Ace SVN). The latest SCT can be found at http://files.wowace.com/. I hope that helps!

Hm, I thought there'd be more interest in this one with the new whisper system and dynamic nature in place, are theere problems with it or maybe bugs?

I've noticed that with other mods installed or under certain conditions, the change I made to get Delay to work has made some other modules behave oddly. If you want Delay, the mod is fine as it is but if the other modules are playing up and you want that fixed, change the following in the file TipOnDemand_Core.lua... Find (on lin...

I bet you'd all thought I'd forgotten this, eh? Well, I hadn't! In fact I'd been secretly tinkering away with another project in the background, waiting until the time was right (until I could set Tip on Demand aside) to pounce. So there it is, the spiritual successor to all things TotemRange, feel free to pop over there, take a look...

Not a problem, glad to help out! I'm actually really glad I succeeded to be honest because I was baffled as to how I could make the logic work whilst still keeping it an 'everyone wins' situation so nothing is neutered or cut down. I'm glad I got over that little hurdle and as usual, I'm learning a lot about Lua and how it works in W...

New version up. I gave this a lot of thought, I poked around in the code a lot and pondered the way the logic works. What you see in the new version is the solution I came up with, if it's not adequate then let me know but considering the circumstances, I thought it was the best solution available as I don't want to really go neut...

Okay, can I handle this in order like you did? 1. I'll check out the item tooltips, thanks. Did this happen on your character screen? I usually use sanity for dealing with this kind of thing, I haven't looked there in so long. I'll check it out though and see what I can learn. Also, when you got them to work, did you disable the e...

There y'go wraith! Give that a go and let me know what you think once you've tried it, feedback is always appreciated. Here are some thoughts off the top of my head... I would've implemented a fade-in but it's a lot of code to get it in there, for the option and then for the fade itself. I'm also not sure whether I trust Blizza...

I've just been giving this some thought and... doy. I don't have to stop the tooltip from showing and delay it, that doesn't have to happen. I need just hide it visually, right? After all, this might not be perfect for all scenarios because of clickable tooltips (accidentally hitting those in battle is a pain) but for simple five...

Thanks wraith. I'll start researching into possible ways of implementing delays, now. Don't get your hopes up because it might very well be impossible but that doesn't mean I won't try.

Ooh, hm. That's a strange one. Do me a favour? In the TipOnDemand_FuBar.lua file, after line 21 add... self.folderName = "TipOnDemand" See if that works?

Whoops, yeah. I used Bartender to figure out how to properly modularise the FuBar element, I had issues with it missing certain options (like position) so I had to refer to that. That was one object call I didn't rename. Just head into the file and change Bartender3 to T and it'll work fine. Sorry about that.

Hokay, just did a lot of work on TipOnDemand and I found out a few things, some of those things are good and some of those things are ... well, not quite so good. First of all, the good. Skoo, take a look at the fourth milestone and tell me what you think, I think this new method is much more graceful than the clunky old self.stat...

Wraith, I'm not sure if you read to the bottom of that last post but I left some questions there for you about the new feature you wanted. I don't think I really need to release a debug version in your case, Skoo. You're a smart fellow and I don't want to patronise, instead just add the following to the Combat file, I think it'll tell you all you need to know. if self.incombat and self.incombat ~= nil and self.incombat ~= true then TipOnDemand:Print(type(self.inco...

That's very strange, since self.incombat only has two statuses, which are either self.incombat = true or self.incombat = nil, I actually did a look around my code and it's only changed in two places, lines 26 and 27 of the Combat module. So basically 'if self.incombat then' should work because self.incombat is either going to be true...
