I've posted a new version with some small changes. It supports the new item categories added in the 2.3 patch (enUS and deDE only, thanks for the translation Nathanyel) and it should retrieve sell values from other addons that you may have which implement the GetSellValue API.

Since no one has mentioned it here yet, it seems that Blizzard will be copying this addon's feature into the default UI with patch 2.3. The tooltip for Block on the character sheet now displays the amount of damage reduced by a successful block. - link

Yes, that function mines data from your local cache. 33000 isn't high enough to grab some recently added items, such as the brewfest stuff you mentioned. I will certainly look into fixing bugs, but my primary goal has always been just to keep this addon working. Some bugs I have looked at and have been unable to fix.
