You may have another addon installed that's messing with the tooltip's position. Try going into RealUI Minimap options (through Interface Options > Addons) and setting it's anchor to BottomLeft...

1. Still really wish I could add a border to the minimap :) I've had to make a kgPanel panel as a workaround :p
2. When using the LFD system, the tooltip that comes up when you move your mouse over the little green eye thing is off the screen. Any fixes?
