"Replace World Map" Feature n/a anymore?

Hey, according to some outdated addon sites, there once was a feature called "replace world map" which automatically opened Atlas when you were inside an instance and called up the world map. I always wondered if there was a feature like this, and when I finally googled if some additional addon perhaps provides this functional...
