That's probably possible to do. Would you want actual buttons on your screen to start/stop a "session" or just slash commands?
You could, possibly, make and LDB display for this. Clicking the display on whatever LDB bar you use could start the tracking, clicking again could stop it. The display could also have a hover display showin...
