Fading kgpanels w/ chat

First, this UI is sick. I am re-purposing it for my needs (not happy with icehud castbars) but it really gave me some great ideas! I want to be able to fade the kgpanels associated with chat when the chat itself fades out. Seems like this is pretty much impossible currently - any thoughts?
