Sorry, I was writing the comment while I was investigating. I've filed a ticket and a patch against FlightHUD that fixes the problem for me.

Confirming that TomTom world map waypoints don't work for me

I am running r199 (confirmed with script shown below).
r198 actually worked fine for me with mapster and waypoints.
Turns out the problem is an addon called FlightHUD. It looks like it's overriding your setscript but isn't passing through. Turn it off, tomtom waypoints work. I'm gonna file a ticket with the FlightHUD guy.
