Trouble adding waypoints.

I am unable to add waypoints in battlegrounds or the southern part of borean, (The frozen sea.) I have tried the various commands to add a waypoint and it acts as if it is successful but the dots do not show on the map or minimap. I am able to add waypoints elsewhere just fine.
