basic question changing opacity using class colours

Can't seem to find a post on this. I know how to color the bars by class. BUT i like the opacity features on the skin frame (like I NEED this -- make healbot superior to Grid IMHO :) ). Is there a way to do this that I have been missing all this time? Otherwise could I make a suggestion to incorporate a toggle on the skin...
