Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map.
Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Guild Positions : show all guild members that also have Cartographer.
Instance Loot : shows loot tables when you click a boss note
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
POI : store notes that city guards point you to.
Professions : automatically tracks herbs, minerals, and treasure.
Waypoints : allow you to make waypoints and have a big arrow point the way.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the number of men the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

r63590
Updated to latest version from wowace
Herbalism, Mining, and Noteshare modules have been moved out to separate downloads.
would it be possible to widen the frame on the module. or, possibly add a config option to widen it. can't say as I like over and under coords. Like them all on the same line.
Also have an error pop up about the battlegrounds mod. will post later with the error.
Originally posted by kostermw I have exactly the same problem. No clue where the arrow comes from, as I uncheked the option both in TomTom and Cartographer.
type this to stop quest helper from displaying waypoints with cartographer
/qh cartwp
I have 2 arrows now, i think tomtom have one for questhelper and cartographer have other but dont know if from tomtom, cuz cant make it to disapear with tomtom. So how i get rid of one arrow? i have 2 same type lol. That after installing cartographer

Yow,
Have been thinking about d/l this mod and all I see on every page of every site is massive errors upon installation lol! People may talk bad about Metamap but i haven't had any issues with it for a year so...the dev/s musta done something right with it from the getgo hehe. Since the only reason I'd be using Cartographer would be to see guildies on the map and I see there are errors with this latest version with that too I guess it still isn't ready to be used
Ah well. Best of luck to the dev/s and I wish you the best of luck!
1) Chill. The people that make these addons do not get paid for it. They have no obligation to keep them bug free just to make you happy.
2) This is not the correct place to post about bugs. If you took 5 seconds to actually read Cartographer's main page you would see that the author has posted a direct link to the bug forum used.
Say that there are a mess of dependencies missing for all sorts of things. I went no further than that and just trashed all the files. Too bad, I had hoped that I had found a replacement for the evidently defunct Metamap.

also use lightheaded and it seems fine, except i cant click on coords & get onscreen waypoints anymore. no error messages, so not sure what this is about
this is my first time in 3 yrs of playing WoW that I have used mods - can anyone tell me how quickly developers respond to new patches. i'm sure it "depends", but what's the average turnaround?
i mean: should i be looking for a replacement? despite any appearance of functioning, should i consider ALL of my mods outdated now? ARE there any mods on this site that ARE compatible with the new patch that would provide coords?
ANY advice or feedback from previous experience would be helpful
Try out TomTom, its written by the same person that makes lightheaded, is designed to work together, shows coordinates and map 'waypoints' for minimap and worldmap, and even (in later versions) has included a direction arrow, similar to cartographers. nQuestlog works well with both as well (same as it uses cartographers waypoints and arrow if you have that, and its working). But to answer your question in general, it depends on the mod, some mods are updated frequently during patches and after new ones (Lightheaded and TomTom), others may take awhile, some a very long time. I may be wrong of course, but from my experience TitanPanel's developers were gone for a very long time before it was taken up again and is back to fairly frequent updates, so it depends, also some mod authors prefer a specific site, and either don't update on some at all, or infrequently so its always best to check them all.
Edit: And if they fix the current bugs in the last few posts that are going on with Cartographer, you can run TomTom fine with it, long as you turn an option or two off depending on which versions you prefer (like tomtom's worldmap coordinates or cartographers, tomtom's arrow or cartographers, etc..)
On that note, I'm having the same problem as CezainValsol, I've used Cartographer for quite awhile, so I hope they fix the problem soon, as it makes it essentially unuseable.
Don't these people test patches before finalizing them? The problems are obvious.
I'm new to Add-Ons and all that jazz, but I installed everything properly, and well, whaddya know, I got the EXACT same problem as below, EXCEPT for the 3rd one. In addition, whenever I clicked "Okay" about the 2nd problem, the damn error window for it would keep popping up and NEVER go away. I've heard very excellent things about this add-on, so it's a shame if I wouldn't be able to use it because of 2 silly little dang errors.
Notice my difficulty of avoiding profanity; I am not bleeperlingly pleased.

alot of addons are "ace'd" at wowace.com, so go there and use their auto updater, you can just run the program once every day or so and keep most of your addons up to date, cartographer is for example ace'd.

For the last few updates, since patch 2.4.1, corpse waypoints have not appeared. There's no longer even an option for them in the Cartographer menu. What happened? Did you remove them on purpose?
