Not a game breaking bug by any means but thought i would share anyway.

When looking at say guild list and you choose to arrange by area (or level last online and so on ) you have to close the g list window and re-open it for that change to take effect, seems a little strange,
But it is 100% wim causing it i spent the time disabling my addons one by one until i found it.

But like i said nothing big just passing on the info

WIM is not broke. There is an interaction with another addon that is producing unlikely results.

If WIM were broken, there would be more of me. ~.^

But thank you for the recommendation.

Update: It is not TricksHelper. I disabled it and the problem is still with me. It does seem to occur once combat has been engaged, so I'm going to be inventorying those mods that go active in combat.

I'll post as I learn more. T.I.A.

Very odd problem

I broke it! No, really. I think I have some sort of odd interaction going on that is preventing WIM from displaying it's pop-up windows when handing chat or /w.

I used the /framestack command and when WIM is functioning properly there is an entry for WIM_UIParent_Expose. This never shows up again when the problem occurs until I reload the UI.

The only two things that I can think of that have been changed right before this started occurring are as follows:

I downloaded TricksHelper, no problem initially, but then I turned on the notify through whisper function.

Unfortunately, simultaneously to that, I completely re-did my PitBull4 frames for party and raid. I was very restrictive and deselected just about everything for my frames except health and name.

Things I do know: This problem does not occur unless I'm in a party or raid.
This problem does not occur immediately.
It seems to occur after the first window WIM displays. (I'm going to look more closely at the timing of it) I think it may also occur before I use TricksHelper, but I need to confirm that.
The w/ received sound plays, indicating that WIM is functioning fine, it just is being suppressed.

I cannot manually call up the /w window even though it is properly displayed in the drop down menu as to whom the whisper was from.

Although I'm sure the fault is not with WIM, I was wondering if you had any tips for me in the hunt for the problem.

Thank you very much for the wonderful addon!

Borked

Don't bother using this until it is either updated and/or someone takes over development because the WIM forums look fairly dead as well.

Would love to see this updated for patch 3.3, since it has tons of LUA errors and slows down the game now... also I'd love to see a new feature, having it replace the entire default chat frame, with more functionality, and features - if it replaces the default chat frame, then a main window can be used for it, that has tabs, to switch to each section individually within the same frame, this would be great for UI developers, that wanna make it more personal.

I'm new to this addon, but so far I love it. I do have some questions though.
  • I'm not sure if this is an option or not. When you click on the minimap icon and see the gray "whisper" window where you can close the boxes of all the ppl sending you tells - is there a way to move where the location of those boxes show up, or the way they stack? My minimap is at the bottom of my screen and if I get multiple whispers they are going down into where my bars are or off the screen.
  • The options window is a lot different than the one pictured. How do you link items? Shift click isn't doing anything and I don't see an option for it. *edit* As I looked into this further the linking of items is somehow conflicting with the newest version of Prat. I can only link items by using older version, if you could look into that it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
