Total RP 3: Extended

Version: 1.0.8
by: Ellypse, kajisensei

This add-on is an extension for Total RP 3, version 1.2.0 and above. Please make sure to always have the latest version of Total RP 3 installed.
Check out our YouTube channel for video tutorials on how to get started with Total RP 3: Extended!

World of Warcraft has a strong community of players with a lot of talent when it comes to role-playing, fan-fiction, and other artistic creations. One major problem is that all these original creations can only live outside of the game as we can't have any impact on the game itself. Total RP 3 Extended is aiming to change this.

Total RP 3 brought you the best way to customize your characters and companions (pets and mounts). Total RP 3: Extended brings you the best way to create new content in World of Warcraft: campaigns with quests, customized NPCs and dialogues, items, documents (books, signs, contracts ...) and much more!

  • Create highly customizable items and share them securely with other people. When you receive an item from someone, the new security level system will warn you about potentially harmful effects and you can authorize them or not.*
  • Place items on the ground to get them back later or place them in stashes that other players will be able to find and open.
  • Total RP 3: Extended gives you a brand new*RP inventory to place items on your character visually. People with Total RP 3: Extend will be able to see the items you are wearing and you can inspect them too.
  • Create rich campaigns with multiple quests and steps, customize in-game NPCs to fit your needs and create immersive 3D dialogs with multiple choices.
  • This is a separated add-on, we don't "force" any Total RP 3 user to use it. That was a reason why Total RP 2 was considered really heavy for casual roleplayers. If you want Total RP 3: Extended, just get it in addition of Total RP 3. But Total RP 3 alone will stay lightweight.
  • The interface is clean, pretty and easy to handle.
  • We provide different levels of complexity for the editors' interfaces (Quick / Normal / Expert). So you will have a simple UI to quickly create simple items, but when you are ready to go to the next level and have the full unchained experience, you can use the tool in "expert mode". All these concepts will bring this addon to the saying "Easy to learn, hard to master".
  • The add-on is separated in two sub-add-ons. One contains the inventory management and a roleplay quest log. The other contains all the creation tools to create your items and quests.

This update improve the quick export and quick import workflows. The WeakAuras sharing website wago.io now support Total RP 3: Extended items and campaigns! Create a quick export string by right-clicking on your creation and choosing the quick export option and paste the generated string on the website. Give your creation a name, a description (they will be pre-populated using your items info!) and add a few screenshots to show exactly what it is (or even YouTube videos!) and get a nice URL to share with people where they can copy the import string to paste inside their own Total RP 3: Extended.

Increased the size limit for the quick export option to 500KB up from 16KB. Note that large import/export can freeze the game for a few seconds.
Added indications about the support of wago.io in the quick export and quick import UI.
The import buttons are now always accessible.

Our thanks again to Solanya for his help on this release.

Fixed an issue in the Arcano-Casino backers creation and improve workflow execution.
Fixed an issue in the coordinates system that would make some features not backward compatible.
Copying a creation now updates all the workflows in the creation to use the new copy ID instead of the original creation ID
Variable interpolation for the active campaign (using a ${var} tag to get the value of a variable stored in the active campaign.)
You are now prompted to enable a campaign when an effect from this campaign tried to be executed.
When creating a new campaign you now have the option to copy an existing campaign.
When copying a creation, it will now update workflows in that copy to use the new ID instead of the original creation ID.
Added indication in the tooltip that you can Ctrl + Click on an effect in a workflow to condition that specific instruction's execution.
Added thank you message for Ellypse's Patreon supporters.

We actually had the same kind of feedback on Curse a while ago and I updated the description there a few weeks ago (but I forgot to update the project it here because Wowinterface is losi— err… nothing, scratch that).

I have updated the description here to reflect the one on Curse. Thanks for the constructive feedback.

"Even if World of Warcraft is losing subscribers month after month, it still has a strong community"
It isn't.
Even if it was, why start with a negative? Rather,

"World of Warcraft has a strong community" or
"Over the years, World of Warcraft has developed a strong community" or, if you absolutely must mention numbers (you really don't need to)
"Irrespective of subscriber numbers, World of Warcraft has managed to maintain a strong community"

Opening up with a negative doesn't help your cause. I'd choose the first or second of those three options.
