What is Gladius?
Gladius adds enemy unit frames to arenas for easier targeting and focusing. It shows a health bar, a mana bar below the health bar (optional), a cast bar below the mana bar (optional), a class icon to the left side of the health bar (optional) and important buffs and crowd control durations (optional, overlays the class icon). The frame resizes itself to the current bracket (optional).

Gladius uses the 3.0.2 arena unit ids, therefore it'll add units automatically to the frame (byebye targeting macros) and you'll always be able to target/focus the enemies, regardless of if they are added when you're in combat. The cast bars and the buff/debuff timers should be 100% correct.

You can add important buffs and crowd controls in the auralist.lua file. You will have to select a priority for it. If a buff/debuff is already displaying when the spell is cast it'll only show up on the class icon if the priority equals or is higher than the current one displayed.

More features:
Arena enemies targets (optional): displays the class of the arena enemy's current target in a small frame on the health bar to the right.

Trinket status (optional): has a few different display options, but in general it shows if the PvP Trinket is ready for the arena enemy.

Slash commands:
/gladius ui, config, options - displays the configuration screen
/gladius test1-5 - shows a test frame with the chosen amount of test units
/gladius hide - hides the test frame
/gladius trinket - simulates a trinket being used for the first arena target

But.. but.. this is very similar to Proximo and SSAF?
Yes, I simply created this as a learning project for Lua. I actually didn't plan on releasing it but in the end I thought it turned out pretty good and decided to give it a go. I do not expect to start competing with the big boys, but perhaps someone else is interested in using it.

- Fixed so it doesn't bug if the Debuff Tracker is disabled and the debuffs are set.
- Debuff tracker now uses spell id for finding icons
- Debuff tracker now saves and uses spell name instead of id (optimization?)
- The debuff tracker now works with debuffs not in your spell book.
- Added a debuff tracker. It can track up to 4 debuffs of your choice.
- Added resurrection announcement.
- Removed isDead boolean from the button tables, using UnitIsDeadOrGhost() function to prevent faulty health/mana updating instead.
- Tried to fix the Lua error spam that occurs sometimes when the arena unit ID's mess up. Complete fix (workaround) on its way.

Hi,

Anyone knows why Gladius causes wow.exe to stop responding while both entering and leaving arena every few games in 3v3 and 5v5? I don't know the reason behind this problem, but I heared a lot about that happening because of gladius scanning smth I dunno really...

There is some problem with how Gladius options handle LSM statusbars. Seems LSM textures are only checked when gladius initializes, so if any other addon that loads after gladius is adding texture to LSM it won't be listed in gladius options at all.

For now i hackfixed it localy in my copy, by injecting texture i want to LSM in gladius file but please look into that.

Clique support broken?

I can't seem to get Clique to work with the version of Gladius that is current on Curse. I just don't see the frames listed in Clique to use. And I really do prefer to use 1 addon to manage all my click casting.

Known issue?

Strange error report.

I was doing arena skirmishes and I was getting an odd LUA error from gladius that repeated itself like 7600 times, I got the dialog box stating one of my addons was severely malfunctioning, but I chose to ignore it and other than the error box, it didn't seem to effect game play.

My Problem is, that every 200 games, often a few games after each other, my Gladius bugs out.
It only Shows 1 Enemy, and the other are shown as if they were in stealth.
It also drops my Fps realy low, to like 3-4 fps the whole arena match.

Anyone knows what can cause this or how to solve the problem?

Lightbulb Feature suggestion

This is a fantastic addon; there is rely only one thing I'd like to see added and thats a bit more customization for the cast bars.
It would be amazing if you could configure the cast bars to appear to the right or left of the unit much like in the screen shot below.

Hi! Gladius didnt update well (i.e. he didt update at all) if dead body was ressurected during arena fight - it keep showing those "body" as dead while its (again) alive.

P.S. if u can "steal" some part of afflicted (or maybe other) addon's code and make it track not only enemy trinkets but enemy "key" CD's (like IB, CoH, evade, innervate and so on) it would be great
