The Extra Bar / ZoneAbilityFrame is being re-used in Legion for (at least -- haven't found more use cases) class hall follower abilities.

Spell in question, for the Legion Followers / Champions:
/cast Combat Ally()

This functionality broke with last month's update (as in, wasn't handled by Ion prior to the update and is now generally unavailable unless disabling Ion). I think renaming "Draenor bar" to "Zone Ability Bar" could also be worthwhile.

Cheers!

I've been having an issue since 7.0 release that his hindering me a little in solo/pve dungeons.

The Marksman Hunter lvl 75 talent Wyvern Sting, currently can not be dragged to the UI. I could macro it as a workaround, but that isn't a long term solution.

Wowhead for talent linked below.

I think this may be one of the culprit of the 7.x , I enabled lua errors to be displayed, cleared cache, rechecked wow installation, re-downloaded Ios, cleared wtf and only have Ion core enabled. As soon as I login there is 25 lua error notices, and this one in particular pasted below seems serious, the Count is rising with almost a hundred errors per second.
There is also a whole bunch of errors referencing things in Interface\SharedXML folder, is this something that should be part of the addon? (there is no lua errors at all when Ion is disabled so it all points at Ion)

True enough, I had done a full UI reset prior to this test. I hadn't thought to clean out the WTF folder again. So far, it appears to be working. I'll be sure to report any return of the tooltips plague.

Tested with macros deleted, Cache renamed, and Ion Disabled. Tooltips seem to be fine on all fronts. Can not find any tooltip errors on any items.

So something in the current build of Ion released for Legion does indeed seem to be causing a fuss.
I had the same problem, until I deleted the macro.cache.old and macro.cache.txt and my WTF folders. Also made sure that macros were deleted on every toon I had. Turns out it was a macro on my druid that I haven't played in ages causing the issue.

Been actively trying to track down the source of the tooltips issue that has been plaguing me and many others. Most recently there has been a lot of information coming out about it being related to outdated macros, and possibly some addons that access those features.

Being that Ion (as far as I know) uses macros to build it's UI. This might be why some have been reporting it as a possible cause.

I've gone through and cleaned out macros. Deleting/Renaming the Cache folder works as a temporary fix. Basically fixing any tooltips for items in my bags. However the tooltip errors keep popping back up for any new items obtained, viewed in mail, void storage, auction house, etc.

So it is quite possible, that if macros are the culprit. Something in Ion is also causing the bug to occur.

Below is a link to a post from a Blue, who also links to a topic with some tips on solving it from the macros interface. But nothing solid about what with macros is causing it yet.

This did happen on beta too but I never really linked it to Ion and thought it was just a Blizzard bug.

This is really gamebreaking and makes the addon completely unusable.
ION does not interact with the game cache or tooltips, so I doubt it is the cause. Looking at the battle.net boards it appears to be an issue with the game itself.

I hopefully should have some free time within the next few days to check for any new changes that need to be made and get an official release done.

I was very reluctant to reconfigure my action bars from the ground up so I made this little addon that helps you migrate your old buttons to the new multi spec configuration. Worked fine for me. No guarantees though

Just wanted to say thanks for updating the addon. I've been using it since it was named Trinity Bars... This is easily the best addon I've been using over the years.

Let me know if there any way to support you guys !

Bartender is a bit too limited for me with only 10 bars with 12 buttons each :/ And it's extremely clunky and lacking functions I use ion for button skinning with masque, free 'unlimited' button placement and hiding the blizzard button frame (naturally)

Been using this addon and it's predecessors since burning crusade, so it's hard to abandon it's few features i use it for, even though it has become very bloated and heavy since it turned to Ion i think bene having performance issues all WoD with ion active, but never this severe.

/Holo
Part of the reason why ION uses up so much memory is that it builds all the bars and buttons from scratch. Bartender and most the other bar addons reuse the default game buttons which means that they can get information about the button directly from the game, this is also why a those addons are limited to a set number of buttons. While previous incarnations of ION (Trinity Bars, Macacroon) did make use of some of the default buttons, the current version creates a new macro for each button and therefore needs a more overhead to monitor everything (spell range, cool downs, charges, ect). It may be possible to reduce the memory used, that is a long term project which is on my list of things to do. I did not originally write ION so I'm learning as I go and doing what I can with my limited free time.

Well I've tested multiple times now with only Ion enabled and it keeps happening consistently. With Ion disabled and only using other addons I have no issues.
