Aptus Aura Frames  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1012
by: Avis57 [More]

aAF is a lightweight replacement for the Blizzard aura display.

Featuers

  • Create an unlimited number of aura groups
  • Individually set size, scale, filters, growth direciton, etc
  • Filter auras by target, caster, name, and more
  • Sort auras by Index or Duration

Configuration
Most ingame configuration options are self-explanatory.

Changing or Copying profiles will trigger a UI Reload, so be aware of that before doing it in combat or something lol.

Move aura groups ingame by holding alt+shift and dragging. Type '/aaf move' to toggle move mode, wherein all aura icons are visible for accurate placement.

Slash commands
/aaf - enters ingame config
/aaf move - Shows all aura frames
Caveats
You will be unable to click off buffs while in combat for the time being. Still working on weapon enchants.
To Come
Besides the obvious bug fixes and weapon enchants, I'd like to add button fascade support, additional sorting and filtering options, and anything else anyone may want ( that is feasible )
Acknowledgement
This addon is based on Shantalya's Filger

1012

*Buffs now able to be clicked off out of combat
*Fixed 'UP' line growth option.

----

1011

*Not Uploaded

----

1010.3

*Aura applied by name in tooltip fixed
*Toc updated
*other bugs fixed

----

1010.2-b

*Fixed move mode breaking and saving bar positions
*Fixed broken filters if you had another addon set global 'enabled'

----

1010.1-b

*Stupid but major bug caused by oversight fixed
*Added ability to change display type of timers

----

1010-b

*Creating and deleting new aura bars should no longer require a reload.
*Whitelists and Blacklists are no longer dependent on proper capitalization

----

1009-b

*IMPORTANT: You should wipe saved variables on this one, old variables could interact with and screw up new stuff.
*Fixed some profile stuff, they should work ( more or less ) correctly now
*Adding / Removing bars or changing profiles now reloads ui

----

1008-b

*fixed varius bugs in gui
*Added sorting, white listing, and blacklisting
*Rewrote OnEvent function to be less redundant and more efficient

----

1007-b

*fixed various bugs in GUI
*positional data is now saved and loaded with profiles

----

1006-b

*Debuffs should now display the correct debuff instead of buffs.
*First implementation of ingame config

----

1005-b
*The name of the one who applied an aura should now be correct in all cases.
*Debuff frames should now never be secure.

----

1004-b

*Modified how config.lua is structured.
** No longer segregated by class, one master config section with group and positions sectons
** Includes a positions section NOTE: Somewhat buggy at this point
** Added group attributes
*** LineGrowth
*** timer
*** LinePadding

* Added buff timers

* Changed the way buff frames are created. Only frames which will be able to have buffs clicked off are now secure. This allows sorting, filtering, etc on other frames. Also allows hiding of frames during combat.

* Added saved variables.
** Upon first login, data is pulled from config.lua. Settings and positional data are saved upon reload or logout. In order to use different frames on different characters, setup config.lua for character A, log into A, log out, set up for character B, log into B.

* Added basic profile stuff
** /aaf copy config sets copies information from config.lua
** /aaf copy profile <CharacterName> copies group data from that character's configuration
***NOTE: this is also supposed to copy positional data, but is somewhat buggy, use with caution
***NOTE: changes will not show up until user reloads or relogs

-----

1003- b

* Fixed oversight causing addon not to function when class has no class specific bars set up.

* Added weapon enchant frames.

* Disabled clicking buffs off for whitelisted and blacklisted frames due to new aura header template stuff that I dont fully understand yet.

* Fixed bug in tooltip display on blacklisted and whitelisted groups.

CAVEATS:

Weapon enchant frames do not yet support clicking buffs off.

Nice work

Ive been testing your addon and it works good tho I have some issues. You cant delete default buff/debuff (ex. petbuffs) they come back as soons as you reload.

A filter function would be awsome.

I added a new frame as default aswell "My Buffs on Player", For tracking buffs you need to keep up as for example for me as a feral need to keep track of savage roar and some proccs (thats where the filter function comes in it show all buffs atm like wg buff motw and such).

And just a suggestion support for buttonfacade would be great not neccary tho you are using the same skin as I am on bf .

This would be a nice replacment for sbf. Keep the good work up

Excited by this, been waiting for an addon that could be satrina's replacement. I echo button facade support and filtering.

Thanks for your hard work !

Filter problem

Really nice

So I deleted some frames in the lua instead and added a new one but I have this problem with the whitelist function on it. It doesnt update while in combat.

Lets say Im tracking Lifebloom and Rejuvenation. Out of combat they are all visable but if I enter combat they will still be there but if I get a new buff Savage Roar it wont appear until Im out of combat. Might have done something wrong in the frame but I dont really know

EDIT: Sometimes the buffs appear after canceling catform.

Code:
                name = "My Buffs on Player",
                GrowthDirection = "LEFT",
                LineGrowth = "DOWN",
                Padding = 4,
                LinePadding = 4,
                Mode = "ICON",
                ModeNum = 1,
                size = 20,
                scale = 1.2,
                unitId = 'player',
                unitIdNum = 2,
                caster = 'player',
                filter = 'BUFF',
                NumBars = 5,
                timer = {
                    point = "TOP",
                    relativePoint = "BOTTOM",
                    offsetX = "0",
                    offsetY = "0",
                },
                counts = true,
                count = {
                    point = "TOP",
                    relativePoint = "BOTTOM",
                    offsetX = "7",
                    offsetY = "9",
                },
                sortby = 'INDEX'

I really can't get this addon to work for anything off the bat, first of all I tried to change the order the buffs are shown in, by duration, once I checked that option I got two sets of buffs overlapping each other. I then tried /aaf move, and I got all the (de)buffs to show, but they don't move when I drag them.

Here's a picture of the overlapping buffs.

Lemme know if you can help! I'd really like to replace Satrina's

P.S. I couldn't find your portal for bug reports so I put it here!

I've actually had issues with this myself cause it can be a bit of a pain....make sure your holding down both Shift and Alt and then mouse over until you get a lil tooltip saying either player buffs, debuffs or anything like that and then hold down left click and drag...its definitely a bit of a pain at first but as long as you have shift and alt held down you kinda just have to keep clicking and dragging lol

Okay the stack overflow is gone but there is a problem now that when you use /aaf move you can move it but the locations don't stay and you can't disable the move mode.

When you reload it goes back to the default locations. The only way to get it to stay is to put up what your monitoring buff or debuff and move it without using the /aaf move commant.

Does an error get thrown when this happens ?

aaf move does not allow me to move any bars. Once I type aaf move again, they are still in the edit/move mode, even though it says ive exited configuration mode.

Is there any way to show a target of target buff or debuff frame?

Aura frames could definitely use a labeling system of some kind.

Exiting from "move" mode doesn't seem to actually do anything.
