Friendly Player / NPC need different colors!

Hey there guys,

Im currently playing on a 4.3.4 Cataclysm server and using Tidy Plates 4.3.4 /// Threat Plates v5.5
I would like to know if there is a way to just change the color of "hostile" healthbars in the nameplates or just the "friendly player" once to get different colors??????

And i dont want to see class colors for friendly players nameplates!

It would be lovely if someone could bring up the time to help me figure out if there is a way.

Grateful Yshaarj

Yes, though it is certainly possible I'm making some dumb mistake. When I tank, the plates for the mobs I have control of scale down and turn green, the yellow/red threat system works when someone pulls aggro, and so on.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your question.

EDIT: By way of example, here's a situation where I have 3 things all on me, tiny plates, colored green, looks good. I turn 90 degrees to my left, looking at all the stuff milling about, none of it in combat. Red plates everywhere. Pic

Shouldn't it be ignoring mobs that are idle?

This produces a lot of screen clutter and sometimes confusion, making me think I've lost threat on something when in reality it's not even involved in the fight.

Is this a limitation of Blizzard's name plates, where it's all or nothing? Is there a way to hide nameplates on mobs that are idle? Or failing that, can they be colored something other then red/yellow/green?

Hiya, sorry that must be frustrating for you. Very odd but it seemed to have fixed itself this evening, I think it happened after I enabled class icons for friendly players (which wasn't enabled before - and to be clear my issue was I didn't see Enemy monk class icons) but not 100% sure. Thanks for this great addon wouldn't know what to do without it!

So I was tanking today, using the threat tidy plates. They seemed to work ok until my group started complaining that I am not holding aggro. Which I thought was weird because all the mobs kept showing green. So anything that can help it be more precise? Obviously some setting wasn't right and it said I had aggro when I of course didn't. Not sure what's the most efficient settings, so some insight and help would be grea

Since patch 4.1

Fantastic addon!

I've upgraded to 5.1.9 but I'm getting very large black rectangles and no plates. And when I say 'very large' approximately 4 of them cover the center of my screen.
There are no health/spell bars, but I can hover over and see names.

Has anyone else had this problem?

TIA,

Zork

hey, GREAT addon sriusly best plates ever.... i just have 1 little question, is there a way in wich i can have the threat system activated for my main spec (tank) and deactivated for my PvP secondary spec? the class-based coloring bar system is simply awesome for pvp but its realy annoying to se every enemy bar sudenly converted into small green "no threat" bars. But at the same time ths threat alerts are just way useful to disable it for both specs. Anyway great addon. keep it up with the good work

btw, i have a shaman alt and im using ur TUSUI 4.0 and let me say is the best class oriented UI ive seen. Realy great work... just wanted to say that...

I'm trying desperately to change the fonts to calibri, but whenever I reload the UI or relog, they are back to the default font.

Is this because this addon loads before my fonts addons or something?

You can do that yourself, in the custom nameplate settings tab.

I second this question...Is there an option (or could there be one in the future) to make all player characters' health bars colored by class 100% of the time?

Also, is there a way that an option to add a pvp icon to the health bar (with adjustable scaling) could be added? It's difficult for me to distinguish alliance from horde when I have everyone's health bar colored by class...Turning on the option to have the enemy's class icon over his head helps some, but there seems to be no way to adjust the size of that icon, and it is kind of big and bulky.

That being said, great addon! Very neat looking, I'm sure with the threat options it's even better for tanks than it is for me as a healer, and I love the non-target cast bar option.
