SimulCast

Version: 0.6-20003
by: JoshBorke [More]

Simulcast is a small addon I wrote to display a spark on the castbar for every spell on your current target.

Better Description:
As shown by an example:
2 Healers are casting a heal on the same target. Say you're one of the healers and you both have this mod installed. Theoretically you should get an extra spark on your castbar representing the other healers cast and vice versa. This way you'll know who's heal is going to land first. This also works for non-heal spells like Shackle Undead or Sheep or Resurrection or Summon etc.

The screenshots show exactly the situation I mention. I am healing one target while a party member is healing the same target.

Supports
- Blizzard Cast Bar
- eCastingBar
- oCB
- CBRipoff

Please post bugs/feature requests to my portal.

Changelog:
0.6-20003
- fixed a small channelling bug
0.5-20003
- fixed a CastCommLib bug introduced while trying to fix other anomalies.
0.4-20003
- Removed debugging spam
0.3-20003
- tentative CBRipoff support
0.2-20003
- tentative eCB support
0.1-20003
- initial release

Thanks for writing such a cool mod!

There are some concerns I and some of my guild members have. One thing lacking from the sparks is any information about the heal. Would it be possible to maybe use color coding to indicate what the healing range in that the caster is using? It would be really nice to easily see whether the person casting is casting a full rank heal or a lower one just to stabilize. Something like having a red spark for people casting something 1k+ lower than your heal, green for the opposite, and the default color for a similar amount would be great.

Keep up the great work with the mod!

no. it's not an Ace mod so it doesn't really belong there. WAU should support WoWI soon enough though, at least that's what I heard.

Would it be hard to support "CBRipoff" as well?

You probably know that mod, it's an oCB-replacement:

updated the description. it's kinda hard to explain. Have another caster in your group install it and try testing it out.

Looks interesting, although I'm not sure I quite understand what it does :P

Could you elaborate on that and maybe give an example?
