Buffwhoon

Version: 1.4
by: Melach [More]

Inspired by the similar functionality in XPerl Unit frames, this addon allows you to see who is missing a given buff or debuff in your raid by hovering the mouse over a buff (or who does have it by holding down alt).

Default modifiers
No modifier: Shows who does not have the (de)buff
Holding down alt: Shows who does have the (de)buff
Holindg down control: Shows who cast the (de)buff if known (the caster needs to be within range to report this)

Slash commands /bw or /buffwhoon show current modifiers and allow you to change default behaviours in the interface options screen.

Doesn't require Xperl or any other unit frame addon.

v1.4 (25/10/10)
Updated for 4.0 patch, sorry it took a while

v1.3.1 (17/01/10)
Fixed mistake in default settings that set BuffWhoon to show who has the debuff as default rather than who is missing it. Can be corrected in option settings, this update only changes the default for new installs.

v1.3 (17/07/10)
Added slash command (/bw, /buffwhoon)
Added configuration panel in interface options
Added ability to set default behaviours and change modifier keys
Added option to change sort methods

v1.2.3 (20/04/10)
Fixed obscure bug with Elixir of Protection used by Paladins mis-reporting

v1.2.2 (06/03/10)
Added functionality to check who cast the spell by holding down control on mouseover

v1.2.1 (01/03/10)
At request - added the feature to show who cast the buff.

To see who cast the buff / debuff, hold down control when you mouseover the buff / debuff.

Note the caster needs to be in range in order to show who cast it, otherwise unknown will be displayed.

v1.2.1 (28/02/10)
Bug fixes now people are using it to raid

Boss cast debuffs now work and don't error out
Paladin seals now correctly don't report that the entire raid has them!

v1.2 (27/02/10)
Fixed a spelling mistake that stopped it working with debuffs

Added in buff equivalence - i.e. Gift of the Wild, Drums of the Wild, and Mark of the Wild will all be checked to determine if someone has or is missing Wild.

Equivalence checks for Fortitide, Spirit, Shadow Protection, Greater and Normal Paladin blessings, Intellect (Group, normal, and the Dalaran versions), Well Fed, and Wild

v1.1 (26/02/10)
Updated to work while in party as well as in raids

That's a problem with the equivalence tables as Blizzard have basically removed a whole load of spells.

Updated version just uploaded (1.4) fixes it. Sorry it took a while.

Yes, the tooltip shows you more detail, but a short built-in help would be even better. [/b]
The new version will show you the current modifers you have set in the interface options screen and also in the default chat box if you type /bw.

There is a new version uploading at the moment which allows you to do this, check the options panel in Interface Options (or /bw)

This is terrific, much smaller alternative to more full-featured raid-buff-check mods. No CPU or memory used on idle (or combat), no bugs encountered in parties/raids so far and no conflicts with other mods (with v1.2.2).

One small request: A tiny command-line "help" (i.e. "/buffw" or similar to activate) letting you know what clicks do what. All through usage today, I forgot offhand what ALT did and what CTRL did before clicking. And if there were any other modifiers I had forgotten about.
