Does it matter?

It is far out of date, and most likely is in need of a major revision.

Checke the directory Zrangecheck/Acelibs/Rangecheck/

In the file Rangecheck-1.0.lua you will finde lines beginng with the word: HarmSpells

Just check your class and add spells you are missing there. I have added 2 more spells fpr Hunter and it looks like this now:

Code:
HarmSpells["HUNTER"] = { BS["Hunter's Mark"], BS["Throw"], BS["Auto Shot"], BS["Scare Beast"], BS["Scatter Shot"], BS["Wing Clip"] }
You also need to change the line:

Code:
local VisibleRange = 110
The visible range is more than 100 yards and hunters mark is 100 yards.
I'm using this addon as moonkin druid. For pvp.
What i can see in new version?
red 0-5, melee, ok.
red 5-8, where is deadzone? need 6-7 for that.
red 8-9, WHAT FOR?
yellow 9-28, where is 25? need that for stuff like enemy intercept and ~lock fear range
yellow 28-36, good, it counts my +range talent in. i hope it does, not just got lucky ^^

Colors: all til 9 is red, rest is yellow. No way to visually show me i just passed, like, 28 yards barrier.

What was in old version(i'm still using it):
yellow 0-6, melee, ok.
red 6-7, deadzone(even tho blizz will remove this for hunters in 2.3, i'm mostly using this vs warriors)
yellow 7-25, perfect! intercept+fear+allthatcrap is here.
green 25-36, good.
yellow 36-48, vs beasts(druids, shamans, pets). new addon cant make that without editing .lua(lol? you want end user to edit source code? no thanks)

Colors: every time i pass some range zone, color is changing, easy to notice.
Max range(for both friendly and enemy) is green, kinda easy to watch for it.

Yes, probably you are playing hunter and new addon works good for you, but for me it doesnt. Old version was simple & imba. This version... any reason to use it over addons like Distance?

Colours not changing correctly

I love the updates you've made to this addon, but I can't get the new version to recognize my assigned colours.

The background colour will be a dark red (not any colour I have assigned) when I am in melee, deadzone, and in range, and a dark yellow when I am out of range. There is no colour distinction between the first three - it is the same dark red for anything under 30 yards.

When I set different colours for the various ranges, the addon ignores them and continues displaying in dark red and dark yellow.

edit: I tried the older version again and the colours change correctly. I think this is because the old version allowed us to add many spells manually to the check list, whereas the new version only gives fields for "melee" and "range"...?

Has nothing to do with the default Target Frame.
It simply pops up when you have a target.
You can move it around freely and resize it to meet your needs.

Does this work with other unit frame addons other than the default Blizzard UI unit frames?

Would it be possible to add a "Kiting" range of 35-41 yards? It would be really useful to know when I'm in ideal range fighting casters.

Zanzer, is it possible to add a scaling option? I would like to make the display a bit bigger.

There seems to be some incorrect data in function ZRangeCheck_CheckDefault.

From Wowwiki: API_CheckInteractDistance

2 = Trade, 11.11 yards
3 = Duel, 10 yards
4 = Follow, ~28 yards

You are using: 6,7,6 yards and the last value 25 never gets compared.

There is a bug with displaying the ranges.

If you add your own spells, no matter if hunter or warlock as example, Zrangecheck should only display ranges of the spells you add and none of these default ranges, cause they are not relevant for this char, except for melee range.

I would like to change it in the lua.

My question was if i change it in the lua, should i use something like \195\182 for ö or can i just use the letter ö and do i need to change the word hunter to german ?

Why does it display 41-200, if Hunter's Mark is 0-100 ?

You could change them in the lua if you wanted, but you could just use the /slash commands to add them manually in game.
/zrange <spell> <min> <max>
/zrange Arcane Shot 8 41
