Tracked debuffs

Been using this for along time and love it. Would like to make a request. Instead of tracking Faerie Fire which basically stays up forever might there be an option to track the weaken armor debuff that it does. And Savage defense stacks are definitely worth tracking for bears now so maybe a bar for these please, Thank you for your hard work on this ad-don. Its a big help to all of us.

It's probably my hackish anti-GCD stuff. What used to happen is a lot of spells would spawn bars every GCD since the game says they're "on cooldown" even when they're not really on cooldown. I'll have to find a better way to get around that...

I've readded this, let me know if you run into any trouble with it. I've been rather busy with life lately so I probably haven't tested it as well as I should have.. :X

Also, could you make that square area able to be clicked through?
It sounds like you have the frame unlocked. If it's unlocked, it stays a dark color so you can see it, and intercepts clicks so you can drag it around. Uncheck "Movable frame" in the options and it'll use your color and youll be able to click through it.

Sounds reasonable enough, probably will only be in the Cata version though :X

I just started trying this out today and I like it quite a bit. In working with it, I noticed a bug and found a couple of things I'd like to see added. I also have a bit of feedback about overall functionality.

The bug is that for some reason the font settings don't stick for me after logout or reload if I choose a font with a SharedMedia index of 10 or higher. Instead of using the font I chose, it uses the default Fritz Quadra TT. If I reapply the font setting in the options it works for that session but goes away again after logout or reload. It's very strange and I wasn't able to track down why it's happening.

I would appreciate a couple of additional customization options. I've tweaked these by editing the lua file, but it would be nice to expose them.
  • The ability to set bar spacing would be very nice -- I prefer my bars closer together than the way they're set up in the addon.
  • Being able to manually set the font size instead of having it auto-scale would be preferable. I found that fonts ended up being fairly blurry since they weren't being set to whole numbers. Alternately you could wrap the font calculation in floor() to ensure that it comes out as a whole number.

The other change I made was to add a subtle text shadow. Quartz, Shadowed Unit Frames, and several other mods do this as well and I think it looks quite nice. I simply duplicated the label section of the code and placed the copy above the label section so it's added first (you'll also see my floor tweak for the font size):
Code:
    newBar.shadow = newBar:CreateFontString(nil,"OVERLAY")
    newBar.shadow:SetFont(M:Fetch("font",M:List("font")[DTB.db.profile.BarFont]),floor(DTB.db.profile.BarHeight/1.3))
    newBar.shadow:SetTextColor(0,0,0,0.9)
    newBar.shadow:ClearAllPoints()
    newBar.shadow:SetPoint("LEFT", newBar, "LEFT", 5.5, -0.5)
Then in DTB:UpdateBar I added newBar.shadow:SetText(text).

Finally, functionality-wise I think that Faerie Fire and Faerie Fire (Feral) should have separate bars. With the Improved Faerie Fire talent, Faerie Fire becomes a 3% hit debuff. However, Faerie Fire (Feral) never counts as that. So as a Moonkin it's important that I ensure a non-Feral Faerie Fire is on the target at all times. Since I don't play feral I just commented out the line that checks for a Faerie Fire (Feral) match for now.

That ended up being a bit longer than I had anticipated. Thanks for a nice addon and I hope the feedback is useful!
