Herminator Shaman Arena UI (1920x1080)

Version: 1.0
by: luheh [More]

Herminator Shaman Arena UI

Add-Ons used:

Aurora
Bartender4
BasicBuffs
BuffSkin
ButtonFacade / Masque
Gladius
Gnosis
InterruptBar
KgPanels
Leatrix Tooltips
LoseControl
OmniCC
SexyMap
Shadowed Unitframes
SpellAlerter
TotemTimers

Important Notes:
- This UI compilation is only aimed at players who focus mainly at 3v3 arenas. It isn't adjusted for any other part of the game and it might even hinder you in progress- focused raiding.
- It can easily be used by any other class than shamans of course, in which case you could just turn TotemTimers off since you won't need that.
- SpellAlerter is configured to mainly show important CDs of the enemy team and it will show on which target it is cast with the names in class colours. So for example, when a paladin on the opposite team HoFs his warrior it will say: Name - Hand of Sacrifice
- Debuffs on partymembers are only shown if you can dispel them but any important physical CC will be shown in LoseControl, next to the party members. Only your buffs will be shown on party members. This way, the amount of buffs and debuffs shown is much more manageable!
- To change the totems in your totemsets, use the main TotemTimer button (by right clicking it), next to the player frame, to change to whichever set you want to modify. Then right click the element you want to change (air, earth, fire or water) and then right click the totem you want to use. Left clicking the main button, a button on the totembar or in the list will cast the totem selected.
- The micromenu and bagbar fade in combat but the tooltip pops up there instead.

How to install:

1. Download the .zip file and unpack it anywhere you like.
2. Move the WTF and Interface files into the WoW directory. I'd advice you to make safetycopies of your own Interface and WTF files first, for any possible eventuality.
3. Change the files in the WTF folder named "Accountname", "Servername" and "Character name" to the name of your account, server and character. If you want to use this UI compilation on several characters, you can make copies of the "Character name" file and name them accordingly.

For anyone who knows their way around these things, this UI can also easily be modified to suit each individuals needs. It has been optimized for providing every bit of information you need in arena in the simplest, cleanest way possible but it has not been optimized for performance, which you should keep in consideration.

If you need a better look at how this UI looks and functions, see this video or any other vid of mine:

(Gameplay is pretty bad in this one, but it is the only one I've released in a 1920x1080 format).

Good luck and have fun!

It's really hard for me to actually test this out - I tested it myself and it worked perfectly so the problem must be with the EU / US launcher and such. The way I did it though was by starting the game by using WoW.exe and then accepting the download once on the account screen. Once I got online it was configured and ready to go pretty much.

I'm not sure how to actually fix this but I will reupload without the launcher and account WTFs, I wasn't sure if they were needed but in hindsight the problem was that I hadn't included the account saved variables and that was, from the very beginning, the biggest problem.

Just tested your newest release and I have had some progress w/ a few setbacks, getting closer to a solid release though!

1. The account.wtf & launcher.wtf files (located in the 'WTF' folder) were configured for EU servers which wont be a problem for the EU players but me being located in the US. I needed to delete them and let WoW recreate fresh account.wtf & launcher.wtf files accordingly. I'm not sure if this had any impact on my next issue some testing could be done to determine that.

2. Just assume I've correctly renamed the appropriate files from here on out. I logged into my shaman and was still left with a screen of unconfigured addons. Now I checked and this version had profiles! Success, I was able to configure the actionbars and the gladius. Gnonis didn't have any profiles configured(that I'm able to find anyhow).

3. Accountant/Enchantrix/etc.(What I assume to be an older auctioneer installation?) Weren't loading and were giving me an option to either delete or keep but not use the addons. Not sure if the install of those are up to date or not, So I'll manually update those and see what I come up with and let you know. This one isn't a major issue as it deals with the auction house and I'm most concerned with the configurations of the PvP addons and those which directly affect my ability to play (eg. Actionbars, Interrupts, Gladius, buffs/debuffs, and the like).

So the most important issues I found was the unconfigured Gnosis addon & the account.wtf/launcher.wtf EU/US issue.

I believe that can be remedied by going into your current configuration of Gnosis and simply saving it under a name & reuploading the new WTF without the account.wtf and launcher.wtf(To allow both EU and US to use your UI).

Although, I'm not an expert on this and I don't know the impact of having a different account/launcher.wtf file would have on my installation of your UI. I hope you're able to figure out this issue! Good luck, and I'll check back soon!

Edit: Obviously not making an 'AddOns' folder was a mistake, however there were a few things I deliberately did not include (such as my macro setup, so that I wouldn't clutter your macro menues). Also I didn't include some aesthetic - enhancing addons like KGpanels and PowerAuras (I haven't set up my Power Auras correctly for this UI anyway) and I can't possibly see how they would have an impact.

Again after placing and renaming the accountname/realm/char I find myself with unconfigured addons. Are you by chance giving us a fresh 'WTF' folder? If so that wouldn't place the addons in the correct locations or with the correct profiles. Try taking your personal 'WTF' and renaming the toons/realm/account(IMPORTANT!) folders and upload that configured 'WTF'.

Edit: Also, be sure to remove all your macros should they contain any sensitive info!

Also, just a minor critique, you compiled the most recent upload inside the .zip as 'Interface' folders with the 'WTF' inside along with the correct addons folders. You might want to compile the .zip with the 'WTF' in the same directory as the Interface to avoid confusion.

Just some small bugs are keeping my from loyally using your UI! I hope you fix it soon as I cannot wait!

UI Not Configured in WTF Given - HELP!

So I love the UI but when I enter the game on my shaman after placing(& renaming) the correct folders I find myself with a mess of unconfigured (fresh install it looks) addons.

So I re-downloaded the zip and tried again. Same thing, also the addons weren't in the AddOns folder, I needed to move them from the WoW/Interface/ Directory into the WoW/Interface/Addons/ folder. A simple over-site I'm sure but I'm not sure if that could be the culprit of the faulty WTF configuration.

I simply want to place the Interface/WTF & rename the WTF's folders and have a configured UI like the majority of the UI comps. on WoWInterface!

Again, don't take this as anything other than a fluke on your otherwise astounding UI! FOR THE _______!
